GCOPS PERFORMANCES AND EDUCATION WEEK

AT SCHOOL

Last week, Education Week, was celebrated across and

in schools in the Goulburn district. Last Monday evening

our choir and dance groups performed at the Goulburn

Worker’s Club with other schools for the GCOPS

concert. Congratulations to all those students who put in

many hours of practise and performed so well on the

night. We are extremely proud of you!

The choir and dance groups also performed at Centro

during the week and were fantastic!! Congratulations.

Many thanks must go to Tiana Gospel who had to sing

without any accompanying music due to a malfunction in

the technology at Centro on the day.

Parents visited the school throughout the week to visit

their children in their classrooms, to watch the

“Jollybops” performance and the Maths day. Stage 3

students presented their wonderful “Australian Identity”

boxes in the hall. The library looked amazing with all the

students’ boomerangs on display and the wonderful

history display that Mrs Fennamore and Mrs Dunn had

so brilliantly assembled.

Many thanks to everyone for all your hard work and for

making the week such a memorable occasion.

NAIDOC ASSEMBLY

The whole school participated in the NAIDOC Week

assembly two weeks ago. An enormous thank you must

go to Mr Crossley and Mr Fagan for valiantly doing their

best to get the technology working. Despite the

technology failure, the school captains conducted the

assembly brilliantly and we all saw the visual

presentation in the library.

YEAR 5 CAMP

Next week, Year 5 will be going to Borambola Sport and

Recreation Camp. They leave on Wednesday 12th

August and return on Friday 14 August. ALL

PARENTS MUST COMPLETE THE MEDICAL/

CONSENT FORM on line before their child has legal

consent to attend. If you have not done this, PLEASE

ENSURE IT IS DONE IMMEDIATELY. A note went

home on Monday 3 August with all the information

concerning what to pack, what to do if your child has to

take medication and other useful information. A final

note will go home this Friday with the information

concerning what time the bus will be leaving and

returning. It will be a lot of fun and we are all looking

forward to the camp.

Jollybops - entertaining the students.
