The world is facing one of the biggest issues, which is global warming. It negatively affects every

aspect in this world, including human population, animals, and also agriculture. There are several

causes and effects of global warming that mainly causes by human race, and the effects will be

severe. First, the reasons why global warming happens will be explained. Then, it will be followed by

some effects of global warming itself.

When considering the causes of global warming, there are many areas that causing it, but one of the

most obvious reasons is carbon dioxide emission. First, the carbon dioxide, as known as CO2,

emission from fossil fuels which are burnt in electricity plants is highly dangerous. It releases

numerous amount of CO2 into atmosphere. Unfortunately, most of our personal and electrical

supply come from burning coal. Second, the carbon dioxide emission from gasoline for

transportation is as poisonuous as the one from fossil fuels. Since the population of theworld has

also been growing rapidly, this means that the demand for vehicles are also increasing and it leads to

producing higher gas emission.

According to some of these causes, there are some dangerous effects that have already occured.

Firstly, there are rising levels of sea worldwide. It is becaues of the temperature becomes higher and

the result is the ice from Antartica and Greenland are melted. Therefore, many nations will be

experiencing the effects, which could displace millions of people all over the world. Secondly, the

crops are becoming unstable due to the temperature rising. For this reason, food production is

reduced, because the yields are unstable. Moreover, this cause will affect both farmers, food

consumers, and also animals, because the cost of food production may increased, and those

stakeholders cannot afford to buy it. Lastly, many species will be extinct on account of the lack of

food and rise of temperature. If some species are vanished, then other species cannot live likewise.

Otherwise, diverse population of species is needed in order to stay alive.

To sum up, there are some causes that lead global warming to happen and they are causing

numerous drawbacks on earth. First, the most considerable cause is the emission of carbon dioxide,

both from vehicles and electricity plants from fossil fuels. Consequently, these reasons generate

some disadvantages: water levels in the sea become higher, massive failure in agriculture, and

extinction of some species on earth. If human race, as the basis of these causes, do not stop doing

activities that produce global warming to happen, then there will be a shortage on earths life and its

contents.
