HOW TIME IS RUNNING …

If you are asked by the marketing depart-ment to write its editorial before the Christ child comes, you can see how fast moving the time is now ...

But no wonder, there are some very turbu-lent and nasty months behind us. When the news of the fl ood from Thailand reached us, we were hoping for a long time that all the water could be diverted otherwise in order to avoid a long production stop. I remember a meeting on 21st October in Bangkok, which had to be held in the hotel, as all access roads were under water.

Now the world is right again, and a com-pletely renovated and improved factory does its work again.

We know that these last few months have been a challenge also for you. Nevertheless, together we were successful in compensat-ing a loss of production of 6 months without any major damage! Isn’t this a good sign?

With our current action “hot-hotter-hottest” we want to set an end to the “fl ood of Thai-land” for good and all. Also as some kind of “excuse” this special offer was done in coop-eration with a great support of Toshiba. The action was extremely successful and before deadline of the editorial we delivered about 2000 sets.

Dear business partners, I wish us all plenty of hot summer days and a successful summer business.

YoursJürgen Unterrainer

EDITORIALLET’S GO AHEAD! More heat pumps in the energy-saving house II That what has already started in 1984 with the energy-saving house I is now continued in a new edition near Castle Rabenstein.

On 11th May, in convivial gathering, the offi cial start to the rebuilding of the 300 year old dairy farm was celebrated. At two levels an information and

training center around the air-to-air, air-water pump will occur soon. Everything is certainly heated and cooled by technology from TOSHIBA. The air-to-air range assumes the SMMSi with an excerpt from our ventilation systems. For each level a controlled ventilation system is planned, which will be realized with our new VN - units. The air-to-water area is covered with two separate ESTIA systems.

At the ground fl oor there will be installed a system with a buffer storage, hot water, heating fl oor and walls and ad-ditional a cooling function using fan-coils. The fi rst fl oor is designed with a standard installation for pure function of the underfl oor heating. The heating system will be regulated via a single control room, where each panel

circuit can be controlled independently. Here, one of the most current controls of the company “TA” is used, which actually allows it to control and regulate all the temperatures in the living room via an Internet connec-tion or via a cell phone from a distance. The so-called “UVR1611”-control is going to provide a Watt accurate visualization between input (electrical energy) and out-put (conserving heating energy).

While in the energy-saving house I the research project “System Studies on a heat pump heated house” was in the center of attention and several heat pumps were tested and their use optimized, the focus of the energy-saving house II is to appeal interested customers, energy consulting services and support agencies. In addition, the design of the system will allow a practical education and training opportunities for the refrigeration compa-nies as well as for the classic installer.

Completion is scheduled for fall 2012. So the winter time can already be used for in-house trainings - even for your partner.

“Full speed ahead” - this could be the motto for the expansion of the factory in Pathoumthani, Thai-land. The construction works have already been

opened in mid-May with a solemn ceremony, the comple-tion of the production facility is planned for February 2013.

With the annex the current production potential is go-ing to be doubled and especially products from the light commercial and commercial segments will be produced in the new factory.

The SMART MANAGER – now“smarter” than before

Who needs a detailed analysis of the stored data during operation of the connected air condition-ers and heat pumps can do this now with the new Smart Manager (BMS SM1280ETLE).

In addition, all data is stored on a storage me-dium. A dedicated software for graphical dis-play and an error forwarding via email are also “inclusive” with the new Smart managers.

NOW AVAILABLE: The Toshiba DX air curtain

In cooperation with the TEKADOOR GmbH Toshiba has now introduced an air curtain also placed under its own brand on the market. The products range from free-hanging models of cassettes to built-in air curtains, each in sizes medium and large. All models are compatible with the DI and S-DI outdoor units and provide effi cient heating and air recirculation mode.

The delivery time is approximately 2-3 weeks from date of order.

Suzumi Plus – NEW

The new Suzumi Plus models, which were designed for single and mul-ti-installation, are expected for week 34. Folders and product descriptions are available now and also ready for download on our website.

TOSHIBA EXPANDS FACTORY

Product News

The new designed Super Daiseikai 6.5 is right on the way to our warehouse in Vienna and expected to arrive in week 32. It is the “hi-tier” Residential

model par excellence and scores with extremely high energy effi ciency values, the most effi cient fi ltration sys-tem and many other features, of which customers will be inspired undoubtedly.

Those who prefer a trendy colour, can optionally order a silver front panel and replace it in the course of the as-sembly. Even with the remote control there is enclosed a standard control and as an option Toshiba offers an

NEW ARRIVALS – Super Daiseikai 6.5 arriving soon!

For this reason the factory near Bangkok will turn to Toshiba’s own largest production unit. The investment amounts to around 50 million euros - a proud sum, which will hopefully bring many new products and in-novations.

extended remote control equipped with two additional menu functions: an 8°C button, which tempers rooms over the winter months to a constant temperature at 8°C and a “select power mode” button, a single button to reduce the unit capacity to 75 or 50%.

The best thing about the new devices: they are all suitable also for multi-installation and cover therefore a wide range of applications!

The folder for the new Super Daiseikai 6.5 and Suzumi Plus units are already in printing and will be available soon.

KARTING – AIR-COND CUP 2012

PRINCESS Natalie Victoria

Great was the joy in the house right after the turn of the year. On 11th January Ms. Margrit Fuchs gave birth to a healthy and adorable baby girl. Natalie

Victoria is the name of the little Princess, which now hand-les just 6 months Mum Margrit around her fi nger and that on a particularly charming way. We warmly congratulate once again for offspring!

The asphalt is glowing, humming the engines. The sun beats down from the sky and under the hel-mets rant a heat battle. Nevertheless, thirteen Air

Cond-girls and boys started at the 2nd Go-kart race, and fi ght almost regardless of consequences for the tit-le. After all, sparkling champagne from the house Moet attracted the winner.

Among the ladies Petra Koch could secure the title con-fi dently. In turn, among the boys Markus Pichler did the race; driving fast is also his great passion in private life.

So hot it was on the street, the comfortable end was cel-ebrated at Styrian delicacies in the bush tavern “Pichler & Schober” till late into the night.

Welcome two new colleaguesin our team.

Silvia Kleindienst reinforces the order handling and will take care for your orders in the future.

Mag. (FH) Sonja Keusch has found her place in mar-keting to support you, kind partners, actively with new ideas.

Did you know that leaves and bud of the Helianthus annuus (also known as Sun-fl ower) follow on sunny days the sun on

its journey along the sky from east to west, while they return at night or at dawn on their east fa-cing position? Not only that this summer edition of the “WORLD OF TOSHIBA” is adorned with this beautiful fl ower, it is also a sign for me how the nature is able to amaze myself. We look back: 3rd July 2011, during an internal meeting with lots of rain and an outside temperature of 12 °C, the revenue forecasts for July, gene-rally the month with the highest sales volume, were taken back drastically. A forecast for the rest of the year seemed nearly impossible. The weather cannot be infl uenced, that’s good; we would fi ght intractable with economic sectors that do business mainly in cold weather when making temperatures. The secrets of nature, we should not lament but admire. Which challenges the nature presented additionally with natural di-sasters we have mentioned many times before. However, the Toshiba family has mastered eve-rything, because they continued to work hard. Time jump a year: 1st July 2012, on the way to Vienna, the outside thermometer shows 38 °C. The media talks from hottest June, no slowdown predicted in July. The car radio brings a report on sold out air conditioners. No, we are not out of stock, on the contrary, because we have ne-ver lost the focus. Many of our partners could assemble air conditioning units at this time pro-bably 24 hours a day. As in the previous year our region has complained about the bad weather, now it complains about the heat. Complaining about the weather does not change it according to experience. To live with it, to accept the na-ture and always keep working hard is the better solution. The air conditioning is refl ected in the-se days more and more as the indispensable equipment in the private sector, car, workplace. Thanks to tireless efforts of the engineers at the Toshiba Development Department the reports about power-hungry air conditioners are fi nally out of date. Technologies such as inverters, rota-ry compressors, etc. will one day reach also the-se self-proclaimed experts. Maximum effi ciency, low power consumption and very comfortable indoor climate are the key words of the present. Toshiba air conditioners are leading the way and cool effi ciently, and when the days and nights are cool again, they give us as highly effi cient warmth. Let us learn from nature: align your fo-cus on maximum effi ciency, as does the sunfl o-wer towards the sun, and when it gets dark to trust that the sun will rise again in the east.

Trust: the best basis of a partnership The relationship between Toshiba-AIR-COND and Gebrüder Weiss (GW), it is no longer just a simple customer relationship. Instead, the 20-year collaboration has developed to a reliable partnership.

Around the longtime Gebrüder Weiss customer Toshiba AIR-COND cavort four “good GW souls” who take care of all concerns, complaints and

requests. Jürgen Schöny (Head), Nadja Lötsch (Group Leader), Mario Renner (Account Manager) and last but not least: Franz Fraissl, whom AIR-COND himself wants to know singled out.

Franz Fraissl is the personal contact for AIR-COND for daily operations. In brief, he not only celebrates his silver wedding in private, but also his 22-year existing profes-sional relationship with AIR-COND. After such a long professional partnership he knows all employees at AIR-COND personally as well as all types of equipment and spare parts of the air conditioners-selling entity.

With about 100 orders daily, monthly 12.000 picks (num-ber of hits on items), and approximately 6.200 pallets AIR-COND counts as one of the top customers of GW. The delivery of goods and equipment is carried out in Austria and Hungary via GW pro.line Premium, the general- and consolidated product of Gebrüder Weiss with fi xed de-livery times specifi ed. Other countries in charge of AIR-COND e.g. Croatia, Serbia or the Czech Republic are on their desire self-collectors.

All GW-mailings can be tracked and their current status be retrieved by iSIS in the Internet. Picking is done by GW AIR-COND-trained employees who perform the fi nal inspection before handing over to the delivery.

Monthly quality reports also provide information on cur-rent performance. The consistently high quality is also en-sured through regular meetings between Gebrüder Weiss and AIR-COND, by adapting all processes always to the current market situation. And with such a reliable partner a promising future is still certain.
