    There are 2 types of Founders Day Awards:

    • The “MAINE-ENDWELL PTA LONGEVITY AWARD” was started in 2017

    o Given to a family member whose youngest child is a graduating M-E senior.

    o Recipients need not be past recipients of either the Honorary Life Membership award or

    the Distinguished Service Award.

    o Given to a person who has demonstrated a long term and sustained commitment to the

    Maine-Endwell PTA as a whole with their support by volunteering, working and

    donating of themselves to our PTA throughout the course of their families’ “lifetime” in

    the district.

    • ANYONE can submit nomination!

    • Fill out the Form on Page 4

    • Write a Nomination Letter, or do both!

    • More than one person can submit a form and/or letter about the nominee

    • What activities are they involved in? (PTA/PTSA activities for Honorary Life and Distinguished

    Service Award; non-PTA activities for Community Heroes Award)

    • WHY they should be considered for an award.

    • What do they do that goes above and beyond the call of duty?

    • The Awards presentation will take place during the annual PTA Council Founders Day Dinner

    Event scheduled for Wednesday, February 26, 2020.

    • The nominations are a surprise! However, new this year, if selected, award winners will be told

    they are receiving an award prior to the PTA Council Founders Day Dinner Event. Notification

    will be made by a PTA Council Board Member.

    • Traditionally, friends and family surprise the winner with attendance to show support. It is a

    wonderful evening, but the award winner does not need to be present to win.

    • Dinner reservation forms will be available later in January 2020.
