Therma-Tru’s Advance Technology Center in Edgerton, Ohio, is a state-of-the-art

testing facility that is focused on assuring the strength and dependability of our

door systems for homeowner peace of mind. Our Design Pressure test measures

the door’s resistance to high-velocity wind pressure and our Missile Impact test

measures the door’s resistance to flying debris by firing an eight-foot long 2" x 4"

wood stud “missile” at it at a speed of 35 mph.

In addition to our own testing, independent facilities conduct further

assessments to ensure that some of our door systems meet even the strictest

building code requirements.* You can be assured you are purchasing one of the

Any Therma-Tru door system can be configured as a complete Tru-Defense® system by

assembling with our specially engineered Tru-Defense® components. Our Tru-Defense®

door system also offers the highest standards in security and energy efficiency with a

weatherstrip that is foam-filled to help seal against air infiltration, adjustable composite

sills, high-quality hinges and a strike plate that can withstand up to 300 lbs. of force. Since

we designed the complete package, we can assure you that every aspect is engineered to

work together with precision.

Every Therma-Tru® Tru-Defense® fiberglass entry system that is properly assembled,

installed and maintained is backed by a rider to our fiberglass door systems limited

warranty. The rider covers qualifying systems and provides reimbursement up to $2,000

for property damage due to water infiltration caused as a result of nonconforming product.

enhanced moisture resistance all the way through the core of the stile.

Process begins with hand-selected, precisely-milled pine.

Chemicals are impregnated into the wood (at a cellular

level) then kiln dried.

The resulting new material is now a dimensionally stable, engineered
