Western imperialism Korean

Port Hamilton Geo mun Island (S.Gyeong-nam)

Daglect Island Ulleung Island

All those geographical names won back their original Korean names

But, here is still one designation that hurts Korean’s feelings

Liancourt Rocks

It is an incorrect name for Dokdo, made up by the French whaler in late 19C.

WHERE IS DOK DO?

which is closer to Dok-do(Liancourt Rocks)?Ulleung island(S.Korea)or Oki islands(Japan)

However,Japan is publicly promoting Dokdo as Takeshima to the world

The reason Japan is bluntly rais-ing an issue of Dokdo in spite of Korean people’s strong protest

is…

probably just an expres-sion of self-confidence that international recogni-tion is already leaning to-ward Japan.

North Sea just symbolizse its location

Sea of Japan composes mean-ing of their area.

So, East Sea is the best way to mark.

Japanese Government still insisting that two islands are theirs

Japanese historians admits that Dok-do is concluded in Korea’s territory
