Weekly Reflection from the Our Lady of the Mount RCIA Team

March 7, 2021 – Third Sunday of Lent

WHO IS THIS JESUS?

Some people look for signs – and some people look for wisdom. But we Christians look to Jesus as the power of God and the wisdom of God. Would you, or someone you know, like to know more about this Je-sus as seen through the eyes of the Catholic Church? Would you like to learn more about our loving and merciful God, our Saints, or what it is like to be a member of the Catholic faith family? We invite you to Come and See. Join us for an Inquiry Session. Com-mitment is not required to Come and See. Inquiry sessions do not assume a commitment to join the Catholic faith family. Inquiry sessions are oppor-tunities to ask questions about God, Jesus, and the Catholic faith family. All who are not baptized, bap-tized into another faith denomination, or baptized Catholic but have not received Eucharist and Confir-mation, are invited. To learn more about personally participating in the Catholic faith, please call the Par-ish Office at 908-647-1075 to be put in touch with a member of the RCIA team. http://olmwarren.org/rite-of-christian-initiation-of-adults

2021 Bishop’s Annual Appeal

Transformed by Christ’s Body and Blood – Sent on Mission to Light

a Fire in the Heart of the Church The devastating global pandemic of 2020 caused the loss of countless lives, widespread critical illness and has impacted every family around the world in so many ways. The important work of Catholic Chari-ties could not and did not stop during this time. Re-quests for basic services such as food, shelter and clothing increased and the staff at Catholic Charities truly lived out the Corporal Works of Mercy. Rental assistance and housing support continued. The Cath-olic Charities food pantry, one of the largest in War-ren County, provided curbside delivery and made home deliveries to protect those most at risk of coro-navirus. Critical counseling services were made available through tele-health and safe, socially dis-tant visits. Twenty-four percent – $1.7 million dollars – of the funds raised by the 2021 Bishop’s Annual Appeal is earmarked for Catholic Charities, Diocese of Metu-chen. Your generosity and sacrifice helps to ensure that no one is left homeless, hungry, or without emo-tional support in these extremely difficult times.
