This Forum gives me the possibility to look at the future of Euro-Eurasian integration from other

perspectives – that of the young researchers and leading experts from Europe and Asia. It is a possibility

to acquire experience in international governance which I would be happy to apply in the administrative

development of Kyrgyzstan, a small, but aspiring member state of the EAEU.

For me the Forum is a place to better understand the vision of Greater Eurasia in the field of security

by 2040. Building better relations with the European Union, national players, such as Poland, and

international organizations, would be crucial. I want to broaden my horizon.

As part of my scientific research I deal with the problem of migration, in particular, I analyze the adaptation and integration of migrants from the countries of the Middle East in Europe. One of the potential priorities of cooperation between the EU and the EAEU is, among others, the creation of opportunities for labor mobility. At the Forum, I would like to propose for consideration my project on the possibilities of creating a common EU - EAEU social and labor space as a way of integrating these two regions. Here it is fundamental to consider the impact of labor migration not only on the economic convergence of the two blocs, but also on the creation of common socio-cultural values that can serve as the foundation for the formation of long-term cooperation between the EU and the Eurasian Economic Union. Thus, labor migration will help create a single economic and cultural space, which in the future will contribute to a more intensive academic exchange.

In my research, I focus mainly on economic development particularly in relation to demographics. Given the increasingly ageing populations in the EU - EAEU space, it is crucial that EU - EAEU integration strategies account for such population changes, as these demographic shifts can have severe implications on aggregate labor productivity and the macroeconomy as a whole. The extensive employment and industrial practices across the region also make wages, prices and labor more rigid. Re-formulating current EU-EAEU trade regulations in a way that facilitates greater economic integration could therefore be beneficial as well. It is also equally important to strengthen socio-cultural-political ties and security cooperation among nations, which could potentially be done through regular discussion of immigration policies, increasing female participation in politics, as well as assessing cross border control management strategies.

As a young researcher Kazakhstan currently studying in Europe, the Forum topic directly touches the issue, that I am interested in, namely the further development of relations between the EU and the EAEU on the economic and socio-cultural spheres.

Today my mother is 49 years old. In 2040, I will also be 49 years old. My mother was born in the USSR, a country that does not exist anymore. I was born at the same time as the new Russia was born. Thus, my mother and I are separated not only by generational differences, but also by borders. However, our common future unites us, the future of our descendants and that of our planet. What kind of world do we all would like to live in? I am curious to know what the young participants from other countries and cultures think about the future. I plan to make a film about the results of my research. I think that most important problem today is overcoming limits between countries and finding the way to integration. In my opinion, the best and peaceful way to do it is culture and art. I would like to understand what kind of socio-cultural projects could help to make EU-EAEU integration possible.

This Forum is a great opportunity to discuss the issues concerning common interests or clashes which either support or undermine the chance of constructing a security and economic community “from Lisbon to Vladivostok”. Personally, I am a strong supporter of the continental perspective towards further cooperation and rapprochement between Europe and Eurasia. The reason why I support this view is the need to face common non-traditional threats, such as organized crime, drug trafficking and illegal migration, and a necessary peaceful settlement of territorial disputes and the ethnic conflicts in Europe and the post-Soviet space. Due to their geographical neighborhood, only cooperation between the European and Eurasian institutions is capable to create peace and prosperity, whereas intervention of external actors in such a framework only undermines this possibility. I consider the opportunity given by the Forum as a good step towards such a cooperation.

I was born and raised in Latvia and Germany, but thanks to my parents, I am also influenced by Russian culture. Today there are many misunderstandings between Russia and the EU. I would like to contribute to improving the cooperation between Europe and Eurasia. Together with the young researchers and the experts of the Forum, we will have a chance to better understand the problems of today and for finding solutions for a common future. Cooperation between the EU and EAEU is very important if we want to maintain peace and economic stability in Greater Eurasia. People and governments need to realise that if neighbours don’t go together well, sooner or later it will lead to conflicts. The EU and the EAEU should look for common goals and interests, working together to solve the problems of today, but also to prepare for the future. And through my studies and my engagement in my society I want to help the people of Eurasia to come together.

Global problems may be solved only in cooperation. All countries should unite for the benefit of the

whole world. Legal regulation is necessary for the implementation of integration in the Greater Eurasian

space. However, this alone, of course, is not enough. It is necessary to use a comprehensive and

systemic approach for solving the task of “integration of integrations”. Europe and Asia are two very

influential regions of the world. Dialogue between the countries of these regions is necessary for the

free movement of goods and services, for solving global problems (trans-border terrorism, poverty,

global warming, etc.). We need to achieve a balance in the so-called "North America – Europe - Asia"

triangle.

While during the last 25 years there have been strong attempts to make the world unipolar, today we

see a desire for a multipolar world. Countries in Europe and Asia in many ways contribute to this. The

need for a Euro-Asian dialogue and close economic and cultural ties to contribute to the development

of the Greater Eurasian continent. Young people are more able to abandon outdated stereotypes, more

prepared for change, dialogue, exchange and compromise. All this makes reliance on young people

simply necessary.

Originally, coming from Russia and later growing up in Germany, the Eurasian and European integration

is a matter that is near to my heart. I would therefore like to support the continuity of the Eurasian and

European dialogue. As part of the Forum, I would like to contribute to the development of new

approaches to Eurasian and European integration with my broad international experience from

participating and coordinating of various youth projects.

All my scientific and public activities, for many years, are entirely devoted to the issues of Eurasianism

and Eurasian integration. I am ready to continue to devote myself to promoting Eurasian integration

abroad. My research has been dedicated to Turkey’s relations with the Turkic-speaking member states

of the EAEU, as well as with Turkey’s foreign policy between the EU and EAEU. I believe that I can

contribute finding solutions for favorable scenarios for the future of Eurasian and European integration,

including the “EU – Turkey – EAEU” triangle.

Dialogue between young people in Europe and Asia is very important today, especially for Bulgaria,

that is serving as a bridge between East and West.

Today's world is inexhaustibly striving towards integration, globalization and even standardization.

These tendencies should be realized and adequately faced in order to serve us in the best possible

ways. Issues of integration in connection with the main directions of future development of such

structures as the EU and the EAEU are especially relevant to my professional expertise. Along with the

integration in the fields of economics, politics and security building it is especially important to ensure,

in the first place, socio-cultural and ideological cohesion. For this purpose, it is important to emphasize

the creation of common educational projects, student mobility programs and attractive touristic schemes

which will conduce to further interactions and the formation of commonly shared values and principles.

Based on a common value system and socio-cultural solidarity other directions of integration will

become more stable and profound.

The ongoing process of Eurasian integration in a wider context exemplifies the theoretical point that

world politics in the 21st century is going through fundamental. Transnational problems need to be dealt

with in a complex approach. Leadership by regional powers needs to institutionalize common interests

and constitute the concept of harmonizing national interests among states. I believe that the Youth

Forum will give great opportunities to collaborate with other colleagues, senior scholars and

policymakers and to address the complexity of Greater Eurasian integration. We want to imagine a new

architecture of the Greater Eurasian space by the year 2040.

The Forum is a good opportunity to understand the possibilities of EU - EAEU integration in the existing

geopolitical frame. In Russia there is a deficit of experienced labor and consequently low efficiency.

Technology and expertise transfer from Europe to Eurasia is a key factor in order to increase efficiency

in the Eurasian economies, particularly in the energy sector.

The EU should start relations with the EAEU on trade practices. For this, the EU and EAEU need to

elaborate and agree upon certain rules and regulations of cooperation. This requires an elaboration of

the common rules of the game that are not imposed only by Russia or only by the EU. However, it would

be very difficult to implement this given another factor - much deeper integration between the EU and

the United States. The EU experience confirms that successful integration is a qualitative legal basis,

consisting of two levels: 1) Harmonization of national legislations of the member states in accordance

with the treaty of the regional integration organization. It is noteworthy that even in the EU for more than

sixty years of integration has not completed the process of harmonization of legislation between the

member states on many policies, e.g. tax regulation, investment and trade. 2) Harmonization between

the rules of regional integration organizations and WTO standards.

Eurasian integration is able to solve many current problems, not only in Eurasia, but in the world as a

whole. At this point, I would like to analyze how small and medium-sized business contribute to the

development of social, economic and cultural integration. Entrepreneurship can be a platform for the

development of a successful and effective integration between Asia and Europe. Business is the engine

of social and economic progress. This Forum gives the possibility of building intercultural dialogue and

to hear expert opinions on the opportunities for “Lisbon to Vladivostok” integration, especially

concerning the EU – Eastern Partnership – EAEU triangle. We need ideas and goals for building a new

system of interaction between the youth of Europe, Eurasia and Asia. I hope that my experience in the

work of youth organizations in Ukraine will prove useful.

My scientific interests focus on the economic interaction of the EAEU member states with China and

the EU. I believe that Eurasianism is not a theory, but a reality that is already being put into practice.

Participation in the forum will allow me to meet and communicate with like-minded people from Europa,

Eurasia and Asia, in order to continue working together towards building a “Greater Eurasia”.

Economies around the world have transitioned their relationships from trade partnerships to establishing more dynamic relations through economic cooperation and integration. My involvement as a senior economic analyst at the Asian Regional Integration Center of the ADB has provided me opportunities to gain knowledge on various aspects of economic integration and the recent developments in Asia and the Pacific. Expanding my knowledge on other regions, such as Europe, could ignite ideas in determining areas of cooperation between the regions of the wider Eurasian space.

Starting real dialogue between the EU and EAEU is a crucial first step discuss matters of economic cooperation between the two regional blocks. Efforts to develop relations should be made now, as it they are necessary for solving existing political and economic tensions. The development such a pan-Eurasian partnership should be promoted not only by politicians and business lobbies, but also by members of the expert community.

I want to understand where wider Eurasian integration will lead to and hear the opinions of experts on improving interaction and building sustainable relations between the countries of Europe and Asia. The need to improve interethnic relations, in my opinion, and encourages people to organize such Forums. It is important to find concrete promising examples of communication between young people, on which it will be possible to rely in the future.

Today, not only circumpolar and northern countries are actors in the Arctic politics.

Almost all countries in Greater Eurasia have their own interests in the Northern region.

Economic and geopolitical benefits of the Northern Sea Route, ice-free fishing and

potential Arctic resources have a huge impact on current international changes.

However, officially, all countries try to keep the Arctic a peaceful region for international

cooperation and negotiations. The Forum would allow me to further develop my Arctic

research from international and European academic perspectives under the guidance

of academics and experts from INES and IIASA.

Uneven economic growth, as well as the rapid development of information

technologies, can negatively affect the process of interaction between the countries of

the Greater Eurasian continent. Therefore, it is necessary to determine the vectors of

development of the Eurasian countries and agree on common goals. For a number of

years, I have had a keen interest in the integration processes on the wider Eurasian

continent. Integration between the EU and the EAEU might help resolve not just

economic, but also geopolitical issues. Deeper integration might make it easier for

other countries to avoid having to choose which union to join. Besides, integration

should be viewed in particular through transport, infrastructure policy and connectivity

issues. Thus, improved transport technologies and transport networks can be a way

forward in the EU-EAEU “technology-and-knowledge” exchange through effects on

transport costs, access and connectivity.

I associate my future with work in the field of innovation and industrial policy within the

framework of the mutual integration processes of the EU and the EAEU.The Forum

will allow us to model the scenarios for the development of future relations within the

wider European and Eurasian space. I believe that in order to overcome the

geopolitical crisis, we need a constant, equitable dialogue. The future belongs to the

common EU-EAEU space!

Having a common economic space from Lisbon to Vladivostok would be a great driver for increasing mutual investment, stability and trade in the wider Eurasian region.

The prospects for political and economic development of the Eurasian space are highly debated. New concepts actively proposed by the Eurasian governments require analysis and the search for options of effective implementation. The idea of a Greater Eurasian Partnership, which was put forward by Vladimir Putin in 2016, assumes the Eurasian Economic Union (EEAU) to become one of the «centers for the formation of a broader integration framework» from Southeast Asia to Europe. This concept requires scientific research and the identification of effective solutions to the problems of integration and economic cooperation between the European Union and the Eurasian Economic Union. Deep economic integration with the EU for the Eurasian Union is extremely important: the EU is the largest trade partner of Russia and Kazakhstan. Europe could be an important source of capital investment and play an important role in solving the problems of modernization of the EAEU member states by serving as a source of technological renewal. The foundation for mutual interest is present: it is based on territorial proximity, significant trading flows, investment links, economic interest of the EAEU countries in the transfer of European technologies, the development of cross-border infrastructure, and so on. Integration of these two regional blocs will entail economical, socio-cultural development, stability and peace on wider Eurasian continent.

There are two major ways I hope to contribute to the work of the forum. Firstly, my academic success demonstrates that although I am still at the early stage of my career, I have already gained significant knowledge in various areas that touch the future of Eurasia. My desire to dig deeper into the countries and societies has resulted in detailed knowledge of such little-researched countries like Belarus and Abkhazia. I believe that sharing my academic thoughts and ideas as well as my experiences in other youth forums will lead to fruitful co-operation with other participants of the Forum. Secondly, I think my personal qualities as a proactive and positive-thinking individual will contribute to the establishment of interpersonal trust and perhaps even friendship among the Forum’s participants. I enjoy meeting new people and have an infinite thirst of knowledge to find out about life in other countries. My strong linguistic skills and vast experience of international and intercultural communication can contribute to anbling effective communication.

Studying various issues of integration within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union, the forum is a suitable platform to highlight the practical importance and prospects of regional integration in the wider Eurasian space.

As trade economist, I am interested in international trade coherences and how economic integration strategies best create welfare increasing the international setup that enables both participating and third countries to prosper in terms of pure economic, but also in social and environmental dimensions. The European and Eurasian space is a unique market that is still in need of new and vibrant ideas for further, deeper integration. I am currently working on an academic project on potential incompatibility issues of different economic integration strategies. My quantitative analysis concentrates on the case of the Ukraine having to its east and to its west two important markets. The main goal is to contribute to the discussion which economic integration strategy would be most preferably in the light of the special geopolitical challenges and how to cope with different aspirations of different markets.

What is the German view on the EU, local issues and international conflicts? Economic conflicts

between East and West collide in Europe, where the borders are quite fluent. We need to keep in mind

the Eurasian history in the 20th century and work towards cooperation in the future.

For several years I have been studying matters of Eurasian integration. I believe that the concept of EU

– EAEU cooperation within a "Greater Eurasia", promoted, among others, by the President of

Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, is not sufficiently covered in Kazakhstan's scientific and public

discourse. However, it should be Kazakhstan, both as an economic partner of the European Union (half

of the country's foreign trade is accounted for by the EU countries) and the main initiator of the Eurasian

Economic Union, that should become one of the leaders for building a "Greater Eurasia Partnership".

At the Forum, I hope to gather information on the prospects for cooperation between the EU and the

EAEU in the economic, cultural and security spheres.

When focusing on Eurasian and European integration, I am interested in sharing ideas on the development an environmentally oriented labor market and creating "green" jobs for a sustainable future. This Forum is a great opportunity to exchange scientific contacts for implementing joint research projects and writing papers with the aim of accelerating the processes of internationalization and EU - EAEU cooperation in the educational sphere.

We need to share different views on how young citizens of the EU see the current

developments in Greater Eurasia and need to emphasize the importance of

interregional dialogue. In times of globalization, it is highly counterproductive to isolate

any country from the global market and from world politics. To manage the upcoming

issues of the next few decades, young people from the nations from the Atlantic to the

Pacific oceans should work together in building a common future.

Economic cooperation between Europe and the Eurasian Economic Union is vital for technology transfer and modernization of the EAEU economies, which, on the other hand, could improve their investment climate and anti-trust regulation.
