ForyearsmanyGardenRailroadershavebeenlookingforanautomaticUncouplerthatcanreplacethestandardcouplerwithease.ThisAutomaticUncouplerhasmuchincommonwiththeLGBDUOUncouplerLocomotivefrom1993andamajoradvantage:size!ThisUncouplerfitseasilyinmanyG-ScalelocomotivesfromLGBand other manufacturers.

TheUncouplerconsistsofadriveunit and a mechanical unit. A mi-niature motor and the requisite microelectroniccircuitryarefullyintegratedinthedriveunit.Thisuncouplertechnologyisconvincing!Usingthesmallmotor,thecouplinghookisloweredslowly.Simultane-ouslythelowerpartofthebracketispushedtowardsthefront.Thus,evenasymmetriccouplingcanbeeasilyuncoupledwithjustoneunit.

ThiscomparisonshowsthenewMASSOTHAutomaticUncouplercomparedtotheLGBUncouplerknownfromtheDUOLocomotivefrom1993.ThesizeofthenewUncouplerhasbeenreducedbyamultiple.Thedriveunititselfhasbeenreducedbyapproximately90%.

TheAutomaticUncoupleriseasilyfixedontoalocomotivewithasinglescrewusingastandardcouplerfittingsuchascommonlyfoundonLGBrollingstock.Theconnectioncable(30cmlength)islayedintotheinteriourofthelocomotiveand connected to the decoder.
