SAY THIS: Honor others by giving them a chance.

We are offering an opportunity to worship Wednesday, November 27, 6:15 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Invite your family and

friends to join us for this service! Each family is asked to bring a bag or two of non-perishable groceries. During the service, everyone will be invited to bring the groceries forward and place them in front of the altar. We will then dedicate them, asking the Lord to multiply these gifts to feed the hungry. The food offerings will be donated to The Mission at Kern County. There are no services Thanksgiving Day.

Show God’s Love at Thanksgiving with an Arvin Thanksgiving Bag! We are seeking

donations of full Thanksgiving Bags for St. John’s Valley of Faith Blessing Boxes. Our target is 70 families who are identified as the most needy in the community. Pick up a blue Thanksgiving Bag at the H.I.S. Kiosk in the Worship Center Lobby. Attached to the bag is the list of items to purchase and put into the blue bag as donations. Please return filled bags by Sunday, November 17. These filled blue bags will be added to the Arvin Blessing Boxes and distributed to the families in Arvin before Thanksgiving. Questions, contact Don Marquez, [email protected] or 331-1091.

Milestone Anniversaries It has been a tradition here at St. John’s to recognize those

celebrating milestone wedding anniversaries (25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, and 60+) at the Sunday services prior to Thanksgiving. This year we will do this on Sunday, November 24. Letters have been sent out to those couples based on records available to us. If you are celebrating a milestone anniversary and have not yet received a letter, please call Stacey in the office, 665-7815. We would like to recognize all couples celebrating a milestone anniversary.

A Bountiful Affair Thank You! We are so incredibly thankful to our amazing sponsors, donors and volunteers for making

this year’s event so successful. We are truly humbled and blessed. Thank you again for making a World of Difference!

Alpine Christmas Trees are grown on their own tree farms in the lush Willamette Valley of Oregon, and are freshly cut and delivered to Bakersfield on a daily basis. Trees are available at Alpine’s lot on Wible the day after Thanksgiving. This fundraiser helps send the 8th Graders on their Washington, D.C. Trip.
