Information and history on Time Inc

• Time Inc is an American New York based company.• Created in 1922 by Henry Luce and Britton Hadden.• They have subsidiaries which are Time Inc UK and Time Inc India. • They publish over 90 magazines.• One of these magazines Time was the first published weekly magazine In the US.• In 1990 the merged with Warner communications until 2014 when they

disbanded.• The information here is showing where Time Inc was created and who founded

the company. It shows how capable the company is as it manages over 90 magazines and shows how relevant it is in the media with having subsidiaries in other countries showing they can adapt to different cultures and still be successful. Working with Warner communications shows they have experience working with other companies but after the split they could still operate as an independent company.

• This graph shows the loss and profit through the company in three month and six month spaces. It shows a loss, this could be through marketization, as there could be a gap in the market and they are not optimizing their potential. My magazine could fill in the gap in the market and help increase revenue stream.

This is a sample of the magazines Time Inc publish. The sample has a wide range of magazines, this helps with it’s revenue stream because they cater for multiple tastes. Sport with the world soccer magazine, horse and hound for equestrian interests and for music NME, they also cover other hobbies and interests to cater for a wide audience to maximize revenue streams.

Summary

• To summarise Time Inc publishing house has a wide range of magazines within different countries US, UK and India showing this company can be successful in different countries. However, their financial figures show otherwise and this could be because they are missing out on a certain area of media which would help increase their revenue stream. My magazine could help fill this gap.
