The call to Believe the Gospel is a call to have faith and exercise faith. 3. Note: We must study the preaching of Jesus because we are called to proclaim the everlasting gospel of Revelation 14:6-12. 4. What event had recently occurred that prompted Jesus to declare “The Time is Fulfilled?” Mark 1:9-11___________________________ 5. Note: The prophecy that was fulfilled by Jesus’ baptism was the 69 prophetic weeks of Daniel 9:24,25. 6. What did Jesus received at His baptism? John 1:29-34,40,41; Acts 10:37,38________________________________________________ 7. The second part of Jesus’ message after the saying that the Time is Fulfilled was that the Kingdom of God is at Hand. Mark 1:15. 8. Since the Time is Fulfilled is connected to Jesus’ baptism, then the Kingdom of God must be connected to Jesus’ crucifixion. Jesus’ crucifixion was the second great event of the prophecy of Daniel 9:24-27. 9. Note: In the Bible, the expression the Kingdom of God has two primary applications. Firstly, the Kingdom of Glory; secondly, the Kingdom of Grace. 10. Note: The Kingdom of Glory also means the Throne of Glory. A kingdom denotes that a throne is present and vice versa. The Kingdom of Grace also means the Throne of Grace. 11. Note: The Kingdom of Glory or Throne of Glory points to the second advent, even the third advent (after the 1000 years of Revelation 20, when Jesus descends with New Jerusalem). 12. Read the following scripture and discover the confirmation that the Kingdom of Glory is the Throne of Glory when Jesus returns. Matthew 25:31,34. 13. Read the following scripture and discover the confirmation the Kingdom of Grace or the Throne of Grace is pardon and victory over sin. Hebrews 4:15,16. "The time is fulfilled, the kingdom of God is at hand," had been their message. At the expiration of "the time"--the sixty- nine weeks of Daniel 9, which were to extend to the Messiah, "the Anointed One"--Christ had received the anointing of the Spirit after His baptism by John in Jordan. And the "kingdom of God" which they had declared to be at hand was established by the death of Christ… As used in the Bible, the expression "kingdom of God" is employed to designate both the kingdom of grace and the kingdom of glory. The kingdom of grace is brought to view by Paul in the Epistle to the Hebrews. After pointing to Christ, the compassionate intercessor who is "touched with the feeling of our infirmities," the apostle says: "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace." Hebrews 4:15, 16. The throne of grace represents the kingdom of grace; for the existence of a throne implies the existence of a kingdom. In many of His parables Christ uses the expression "the kingdom of heaven" to designate the work of divine grace upon the hearts of men. {GC 346.4} The kingdom of grace was instituted immediately after the fall of man, when a plan was devised for the redemption of the guilty race. It then existed in the purpose and by the promise of God; and through faith, men could become its subjects. Yet it was not actually established until the death of Christ… But when the Saviour yielded up His life, and with His expiring breath cried out, "It is finished," then the fulfillment of the plan of redemption was assured. The promise of salvation made to the sinful pair in Eden was ratified. The kingdom of grace, which had before existed by the promise of God, was then established. {GC 347.2} 14. Note: The last two parts of Jesus’ message were: Repent and Believe and the Gospel. Mark 1:15. 15. Those two calls were necessary because probation was about to close according to Daniel 9:24-27. 16. Let us read Isaiah 28:9-13 and compare the above events on the timeline of Jesus with the timeline for us in these last days. 17. Note: The baptism of Jesus in A.D. 27, when He was empowered, was a confirmation that His crucifixion in A.D. 31 and the close of probation in A.D. 34 would occur. 18. Note: The crucifixion of Jesus typifies the Mark of the Beast crisis. There can be only two classes. Each party is distinctly stamped, either with the seal of the living God, or with the mark of the beast or his image. Each son and daughter of Adam chooses either Christ or Barabbas as his general. And all who place themselves on the side of the disloyal are standing under Satan's black banner, and are charged with rejecting and despitefully using Christ. They are charged with deliberately crucifying the Lord of life and glory. {RH, January 30, 1900 par. 4}

1. Let us read Mark 1:1,14,15 and discover the four things that constituted Jesus’ gospel; namely: The Time is Fulfilled; The Kingdom of God is at Hand; Repent, and Believe the Gospel. 2. Note: The Time is Fulfilled denotes prophecy. The Kingdom of God is at Hand implies urgency. The call to Repentance is a call to righteousness. The call to Believe the Gospel is a call to have faith and exercise faith. 3. Note: We must study the preaching of Jesus because we are called to proclaim the everlasting gospel of Revelation 14:6-12. 4. What event had recently occurred that prompted Jesus to declare “The Time is Fulfilled?” Mark 1:9-11___________________________ 5. John 1:29-34,40,41; Acts 10:37,38________________________________________________ 7. The second part of Jesus’ message after the saying that the Time is Fulfilled was that the Kingdom of God is at Hand. Mark 1:15. 8. Since the Time is Fulfilled is connected to Jesus’ baptism, then the Kingdom of God must be connected to Jesus’ crucifixion. Jesus’ crucifixion was the second great event of the prophecy of Daniel 9:24-27. 9. Note: In the Bible, the expression the Kingdom of God has two primary applications. The kingdom of grace is brought to view by Paul in the Epistle to the Hebrews. After pointing to Christ, the compassionate intercessor who is "touched with the feeling of our infirmities," the apostle says: "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace." 14. Note: The last two parts of Jesus’ message were: Repent and Believe and the Gospel. Mark 1:15. 15. 19. Note: The baptism of Jesus represents current events that are fulfilling Bible prophecies and that show that the Mark of the Beast, the Sunday Law crisis, is near. Heretofore those who presented the truths of the third angel's message have often been regarded as mere alarmists. Their predictions that religious intolerance would gain control in the United States, that church and state would unite to persecute those who keep the commandments of God, have been pronounced groundless and absurd. It has been confidently declared that this land could never become other than what it has been--the defender of religious freedom. But as the question of enforcing Sunday observance is widely agitated, the event so long doubted and disbelieved is seen to be approaching, and the third message will produce an effect which it could not have had before. {GC 605.3}

20. Note: As Jesus preached that the Time is Fulfilled, we must preach that the Time is Fulfilling. As Jesus preached that the Kingdom of God, the Kingdom of Grace is at Hand, we must preach that the Kingdom of Grace and the Kingdom of Glory are at Hand.

21. Read the following and discover what grace is. If we do not experience upon the throne of our hearts, we will not enter the Kingdom of Glory. Ephesians 2:1-10; Titus 2:11-14; 2 Peter 1:2-4; Genesis 6:8,9 and Hebrews 11:6,7.

22. What was the burden of Jesus’ preaching?__________________________________________________________________________ The burden of Christ's preaching was, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent ye, and believe the gospel." Thus the gospel message, as given by the Saviour Himself, was based on the prophecies. The "time" which He declared to be fulfilled was the period made known by the angel Gabriel to Daniel. "Seventy weeks," said the angel, "are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy." Daniel 9:24… In A. D. 27, Jesus at His baptism received the anointing of the Holy Spirit, and soon afterward began His ministry. Then the message was proclaimed. "The time is fulfilled." {DA 233.1}

23. What do Satan and his fallen angels understand? Revelation 12:12; Matthew 8:28,29________________________________________ 24. What was one of the primary reasons that caused the Jews to be destroyed? Luke 19:41-44__________________________________ 25. Read the following scriptures and write down your thoughts. 1 Chronicles 12:32___________________________________________ Romans 13:11-14____________________________________________________________________________________________

26. Consider the following statements. Our time belongs to God. Every moment is His, and we are under the most solemn obligation to improve it to His glory. Of no talent He has given will He require a more strict account than of our time. {COL 342.1} God will not require of man a more strict account of anything than of the way in which he has occupied his time. Have its hours been wasted and abused? God has granted to us the precious boon of life, not to be devoted to selfish gratification. Our work is too solemn, our time to serve God and our fellowmen too short, to be spent in seeking for fame. Oh, if men would stop in their aspirations where God has set the bounds, what different service would the Lord receive! {MM 65.1} In a view given June 27, 1850, my accompanying angel said, "Time is almost finished. Do you reflect the lovely image of Jesus as you should?" Then I was pointed to the earth and saw that there would have to be a getting ready among those who have of late embraced the third angel's message. Said the angel, "Get ready, get ready, get ready. Ye will have to die a greater death to the world than ye have ever yet died." I saw that there was a great work to do for them and but little time in which to do it. {EW 64.1} Said the angel, "Deny self; ye must step fast." Some of us have had time to get the truth and to advance step by step, and every step we have taken has given us strength to take the next. But now time is almost finished, and what we have been years learning, they will have to learn in a few months. They will also have much to unlearn and much to learn again. Those who would not receive the mark of the beast and his image when the decree goes forth, must have decision now to say, Nay, we will not regard the institution of the beast. {EW 67.2}

27. What did Jesus understand in these two scriptures? John 7:6,8; John 13:1________________________________________________ 28. What does Jesus say to us? Matthew 16:3_________________________________________________________________________

29. Current events Pope Francis: I feel like my papacy will last only four or five years http://www.catholicherald.co.uk/news/2015/03/13/pope-francis-on-st-peters-balcony-i-did-not-know-what-to-say/ Catholics are called to confront the secular world and establish Christ’s kingdom…Paul VI writes in his Apostolic Exhortation Evangelii Nuntiandi:—The kingdom which the Gospel proclaims is lived by men who are profoundly linked to a culture, and the building up of the kingdom cannot avoid borrowing the elements of human culture or cultures. . . . The split between the Gospel and culture is without a doubt the drama of our time, just as it was of other times. Therefore every effort must be made to ensure a full evangelization of culture, or more correctly of cultures. They have to be regenerated by an encounter with the Gospel. https://www.lifesitenews.com/blogs/catholics-are-called-to-confront-the-secular-world-and-establish-christs-ki

Catholics are called to confront the secular world and establish Christ’s kingdom…On the contrary, the vocation of the Christian is to seek to transform the world by the energetic exercise of moral and theological virtues, not in pure solitude, as a hermit might do, but in society, and as a public activity and witness. The Council did not ask that the State be separated still further from the Church (“equivalent to the separation of human legislation from Christian and divine legislation,” as Leo XIII succinctly put it), but rather, that the laity infuse the spirit of the Gospel into all temporal realities. Thus, Gaudium et Spes §43 exhorts the laity to “impress the divine law on the affairs of the earthly city.” https://www.lifesitenews.com/blogs/catholics-are-called-to-confront-the-secular-world-and-establish-christs-ki

These are our marching orders. The fight is difficult, more difficult than ever, but we must be clear on what we are fighting for. We are not looking for tolerance; we will not settle for religious liberty; we are not expecting heaven on earth. We are looking for the peace of Christ in the kingdom of Christ, which has existed here below, which still does exist in the Church and in Catholics, and which can bring to all men a wisdom, justice, mercy, and joy they would never otherwise know. https://www.lifesitenews.com/blogs/catholics-are-called-to-confront-the-secular-world-and-establish-christs-ki

Pope says Paul VI will be declared a saint this year https://www.ncronline.org/news/vatican/pope-says-paul-vi-will-be-declared-saint-year Note: As papists desire to establish God’s kingdom on earth by uniting church and state, the Protestants in America have the same goal and are doing the same.

Moore subscribes to one of them called Dominionism/Reconstructionism. As a believer in this doctrine, Moore espouses a theocracy… (Theocracy is a system of government in which priests rule in the name of God or a god.) Moore also believes in a theonomy which posits that Biblical Law is applicable to civil law, and theonomists propose Biblical law as the standard by which the laws of nations may be measured, and to which they ought to be conformed. In other words, Old Testament (OT) Mosaic Law, other than a few dietary laws, rules the land. https://newswithviews.com/why-president-trump-endorsed-luther-strange/

While most Religious Right leaders eventually rallied around Donald Trump’s candidacy, his earliest Amen Corner was heavy with the self-proclaimed apostles and prophets from the dominionist Pentecostal wing of American Christianity who declared Trump anointed by God. As Trump prepares to take office, many of the same people came to Washington, D.C., last week to launch “POTUS Shield,” a movement designed in part to “discern, declare, and decree the strategies of the Lord for our nation, with a special sensitivity to the three branches of the United States government.” http://www.rightwingwatch.org/post/trumps-apostles-prophets-create-potus-shieldto-renew-americas-covenant-with-god/.

When the leading churches of the United States, uniting upon such points of doctrine as are held by them in common, shall influence the state to enforce their decrees and to sustain their institutions, then Protestant America will have formed an image of the Roman hierarchy, and the infliction of civil penalties upon dissenters will inevitably result. {GC 445.1}

Jeffress is not a household name in the United States, known mainly in Southern Baptist circles. But he has recently gained national attention as a “court evangelical” — my term for a Christian who, like the attendants and advisers who frequented the courts of monarchs, seeks influence through regular visits to the White House. The court evangelicals are changing the religious landscape in the United States…For nearly half a century, evangelicals have sought to influence the direction of the country and its laws through politics. The court evangelicals have befriended Trump as a way to win his approval and advance their agenda of making the United States a Christian nation. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/acts-of-faith/wp/2017/07/17/trump-threatens-to-change-the-course-of-american-christianity/?utm_term=.4fc711979289

But as persecution ceased, and Christianity entered the courts and palaces of kings, she laid aside the humble simplicity of Christ and His apostles for the pomp and pride of pagan priests and rulers; and in place of the requirements of God, she substituted human theories and traditions. The nominal conversion of Constantine, in the early part of the fourth century, caused great rejoicing; and the world, cloaked with a form of righteousness, walked into the church. Now the work of corruption rapidly progressed. Paganism, while appearing to be vanquished, became the conqueror. Her spirit controlled the church. Her doctrines, ceremonies, and superstitions were incorporated into the faith and worship of the professed followers of Christ. {GC 49.2}

Their own field of evangelizing activity is the vast and complicated world of politics, society and economics, but also the world of culture, of the sciences and the arts, of international life, of the mass media. It also includes other realities which are open to evangelization, such as human love, the family, the education of children and adolescents, professional work, suffering. The more Gospel-inspired lay people there are engaged in these realities, clearly involved in them, competent to promote them and conscious that they must exercise to the full their Christian powers which are often buried and suffocated, the more these realities will be at the service of the kingdom of God… (§70) https://www.lifesitenews.com/blogs/catholics-are-called-to-confront-the-secular-world-and-establish-christs-ki

In our research, we witnessed the appeal of INC Christianity, particularly among young people devoted to the techniques of casting out demonic spirits…INC Christianity is the fastest-growing Christian group in America and possibly around the world. Most INC Christian groups we studied seek to bring heaven or God's intended perfect society to Earth by placing "kingdom-minded people" in powerful positions at the top of all sectors of society. INC leaders have labeled them the "seven mountains of culture.” These include business, government, media, arts and entertainment, education, family and religion. In this form of "trickle-down Christianity," they believe if Christians rise to the top of all seven "mountains," society will be completely transformed. One INC leader we interviewed summed it up this way: "The goal of this new movement is transforming social units like cities, ethnic groups, nations rather than individuals…if Christians permeate each mountain and rise to the top of all seven mountains…society would have biblical morality, people would live in harmony, there would be peace and not war, there would be no poverty.” http:// www.chicagotribune.com/sns-how-a-growing-christian-movement-is-seeking-to-change-america-85571-20171011-story.html Bari archbishop says papal visit will focus on ecumenism https://cruxnow.com/vatican/2018/07/02/bari-archbishop-says-papal-visit-will-focus-on-ecumenism/

Francis bringing walls down with the Orthodox for Middle East peace…The pilgrimage to Bari, an ecumenical city par excellence due to the presence of the remains of St. Nicholas of Bari, venerated both by Catholics and Orthodox, has the motto of “Peace be upon you! Christians together for the Middle East.” “[Francis] has always had gestures of friendship, welcoming, openness, of bringing walls down with the Oriental and Orthodox patriarchs,” said Argentine Cardinal Leonardo Sandri, who heads the Vatican’s Congregation for Oriental Churches. https://cruxnow.com/vatican/2018/07/03/francis-bringing-walls-down-with-the-orthodox-for-middle-east-peace/

Almost a year after Francis’ election and with the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity at an end, it is now possible to give a first overview of the Pope’s initiatives to promote ecumenism. “For me ecumenism is a priority” Francis told Vatican Insider. http://www.lastampa.it/2013/12/14/esteri/never-be-afraid-of-tenderness-5BqUfVs9r7W1CJIMuHqNeI/pagina.html

Newt Gingrich: America's Independence Day is celebrated around the world… “Faced with these great challenges, the United States and the Holy See share a deep and enduring commitment to advancing freedom and justice around the world. “Over the past year, we’ve had the good fortune to highlight the many ways in which the United States and the Holy See work together on this noble effort. “Last May, President Trump and his family visited the Vatican to meet with the Holy Father. President Trump and Pope Francis discussed the shared priorities of the United States and the Holy See on a number of issues, including combatting terrorism and safeguarding human rights. http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2018/07/04/newt-gingrich-americas-independence-day-is-celebrated-around-world.html

Trump sends congratulations to Pope Francis on 5 year anniversary [March 13,2018]…“My family and I treasure the memory of our visit to the Vatican last May. I was honored to discuss with you many of the urgent global issues of shared concern to the United States and the Holy See,” wrote Trump. “Our conversation underscored the enduring importance of moral leadership in the international community, and of our continued close cooperation as we work to advance peace and defend human freedom around the world,” he continued. In a closely watched half-hour meeting on May 24, Trump and Francis met for their first encounter and pledged their “joint commitment in favor of life, and freedom of worship and conscience,” according to the Vatican communiqué at the time. https://cruxnow.com/church-in-the-usa/2018/03/13/trump-sends-congratulations-to-pope-francis-on-5-year-anniversary/

286. Public authorities have the duty to ensure that, for reasons of economic productivity, citizens are not denied time for rest and divine worship. Employers have an analogous obligation regarding their employees.[616] Christians, in respect of religious freedom and of the common good of all, should seek to have Sundays and the Church's Holy Days recognized as legal holidays. “They have to give everyone a public example of prayer, respect and joy, and defend their traditions as a precious contribution to the spiritual life of society”.[617] http://www.vatican.va/roman_curia/pontifical_councils/justpeace/documents/rc_pc_justpeace_doc_20060526_compendio-dott-soc_en.html Poland lawmakers voted last week to reclaim Sunday as a day of rest by phasing out Sunday shopping by 2020.  In 2012, Pope said that in defending Sunday as a day of rest, one "defends human freedom.” ”Sunday is the day of the Lord and of men and women, a day in which everyone must be able to be free, free for the family and free for God. In defending Sunday we defend human freedom!" he said. The country’s Catholic bishops have praised the move, but say it doesn’t go far enough. http://www1.cbn.com/cbnnews/2017/november/poland-reclaims-day-of-rest-by-slowly-phasing-out-sunday-shopping

“The U.S. Embassy to the Holy See has been hard at work with the Vatican to build on these shared objectives, from fighting human trafficking, to highlighting the work of women religious, to advancing and defending religious freedom. “Working together with the Vatican, the United States Embassy to the Holy See will continue to promote peace, freedom, and human dignity around the world. “And now, please raise your glass and join me in a toast to the anniversary of our Declaration of Independence, and to the bonds of friendship that unite America and the Holy See. Salute! http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2018/07/04/newt-gingrich-americas-independence-day-is-celebrated-around-world.html
