POWERPOINT

Because PPT is basic in teaching, the question now is how to design an effective presentation, not how can I use PowerPoint.

In this presentation we will provide some advices to follow, common flaws to avoid and few tips and tricks to design an effective show.

The objective: designing a professional PPT that makes you stand away from others. Everyone knows PPT few people know how to use it effectively.

This workshop is based on (e learning – instructional design – and

educational psychology) concepts but not on computer science. It is not a

(How-to) class to discuss technical elements of the software. 29/01/38ABDULAZIZ B ASSANOSI [email protected] 3

SLIDE LAYOUT (FLAWED)

This slide look flawed because it is not presented in

bullets form. All the sentences are condensed as one

block. Using this style is very distracting to students. It

also makes your audience read all the slide content in

advance which may affect their follow-up. Using long

sentences and minor details is also distracting. There

should be some gaps in every presentation to be filled

by oral comment. This should be taken into account

when one designs his/her presentation.29/01/38ABDULAZIZ B ASSANOSI [email protected] 8
