On May 4th a Girl Scout Historical Dedication Ceremony took place on the Museum steps followed by an overnight for 1,600 girl scouts.10

• TMA announces the acquisition by the Apollo Society of works of art in glass by five artists: Jun Kaneko, Andrew Erdos, Maya Linn, Jane Bruce and Judith Schaechter.
• Museum mourns the loss of local artist Edith Franklin, a participant in the 1962 Toledo Workshops and loyal supporter.

• New parking lot completed– The solar canopy generates 300 KW of electricity for use in
the main Museum building. The roof already generates 200 KW.
• The walkway under the canopy is heated in winter. • Two new handicap ramps will assist our visitors.

• Art Alliance for Contemporary Glass gives TMA its Annual Award for institutions in recognition of the Museum’s contributions to the studio glass movement by hosting the 1962 Toledo Workshops; for its important and sustained contribution to the preservation of the history of art made from glass, and for the creation, promotion and exhibition of Contemporary glass. 27
