You never really understand a person until you consider things

from his point of view... Until you climb inside of his skin and

    walk around in it.

Boo Radley : Crazy by Gnarls Barkley

I remember when, I remember, I remember when I lost my mind

There was something so pleasant about that place.

Even your emotions had an echo

    In so much space

    And when you're out there

Without care, Yeah, I was out of touch

But it wasn't because I didn't know enough

    I just knew too much

    Does that make me crazy?

    Does that make me crazy?

    Does that make me crazy?

    Possibly [radio version]

    probably [album version]

And I hope that you are having the time of your life

But think twice, that's my only advice

Come on now, who do you, who do you, who do you, who do you think

    you are,

Ha ha ha bless your soul

You really think you're in control

    Well, I think Im crazy

    I think Im crazy

    I think Im crazy

    Probably

My heroes had the heart to lose their lives out on a limb

And all I remember is thinking, I want to be like them

Ever since I was little, ever since I was little it looked like

    fun

And it's no coincidence I've come

And I can die when I'm done

    Maybe I'm crazy

    Maybe you're crazy

    Maybe we're crazy

    Probably

    Uh, uh

[a mysterious voice from the dark]

Boo Radley: I am locked here.

    I am chained here.

    I am crazy.

    Or not.

Im stuck here in this cage.

Unbreakable yet fragile chains hold me.

Though we all are held by something.

    We all have walls

    A restriction.

    A boundary.

    A rule.

    It changes you. The crazy.

    It holds you.

It protects you from the unbearable truth.

    Thats reality. Kinda funny?

    But what do I know?

    Im crazy.

Though I see many things from where I stand.

But you may not see me.

    Im always there.

    The crazy.

[Lights fade in. Scout is walking home from school, annoyed about that the

teacher hates her. Boo Radley is glaring from the his house.]

Scout: [grumbling] That teacher hates me. Why do I even bother! I am already

smarter that the whole class. Why do I have to stand up with this! I am

never ever ever ever ever ever ever EVER going to school again!!![to

the tune of We Are Never Ever Getting Back to Together by Taylor

Swift] I am never ever ever going back to school!

Atticus: [angrily] What the heck do you think you kids are doin disrespectin

them Radleys. They are people too and they have the same amount of

right to be on this Earth as we do. So, stop playing that god awful

game of yours before I give yall a whoopin! Now scat!!!

Jem: [innocently] Dad, were not pretendin to be the Radleys. Thats wrong.

Atticus: [surprised] Well then. This is embarrassing. But, if I do catch you

pretendin to be the Bradleys [pauses, and glares at all three

children very slowly] A dosage of great bodily harm will be in your

    futures.

[Walks back into the house cautiously making sure the children are being

good. As he closes the door he watches them. Then races to the window and

glowers at them. The children wave saying:]

Jim, Scout and Dill: [semi-giggle] Hi Atticus!!!

    [Atticus walks away]

Scout: What now? Should we keep playing in secret?

Jem: Probably not Scout. Hey Dill wanna play cops-and-robbers?

    Scout: Oh. Ok. I have something . . .ohm . . . That . . . That is sooo much

    more fun than cops-and-robbers.

[Spotlight on Jem and Dill playing without Scout and another on Scout

watching her best friends exclude her. Then she sing If I Were a Boy by Reba

    McEntire]

Scout: If I were a boy

    Even just for a day

I'd roll out of bed in the morning

And throw on what I wanted and go

    Drink beer with the guys

    And chase after girls

I'd kick it with who I wanted

And I'd never get confronted for it

Cause they stick up for me

    If I were a boy

    I think I could understand

How it feels to love a girl

    I swear I'd be a better man

    I'd listen to her

Cause I know how it hurts

When you lose the one you wanted

Cause he's taking you for granted

And everything you had got destroyed

    If I were a boy

I would turn off my phone

    Tell everyone it's broken

So they'd think that I was sleeping alone

    I'd put myself first

And make the rules as I go

Cause I know that she'll be faithful,

Waiting for me to come home, to come home.

    If I were a boy

    I think I could understand

It's a little too late for you to come back

    Say it's just a mistake,

Think I'd forgive you like that

If you thought I would wait for you

    You thought wrong

    But you're just a boy

    You don't understand

    And you don't understand, ohhhh

How it feels to love a girl

Someday you wish you were a better man

    You don't listen to her

You don't care how it hurts

Until you lose the one you wanted

Cause you're taking her for granted

[When close to a window, Jem uses a fishing pole to drop a note in a window
