The CIIAI is Asia’s leading antitrust think-tank, and part of the China University of Political Science and Law – one of the top law schools in China. The CIIAI is lead by Frank Fine, a leading antitrust practitioner and author. In March 2013, the CIIAI organized its first annual two-day antitrust symposium in Beijing, which featured senior enforcement officials, leading antitrust specialists from industry and private practice and some of the top antitrust economists. The CIIAI wished to share these excellent papers with antitrust lawyers and scholars who did not attend the March 2013 symposium. However, the book contains a great deal more. Leading practitioners from around the world, also submitted valuable contributions for the purpose of inclusion in this book. As a result, one will find topical papers from Australia, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Korea, Singapore, South Africa and the United Kingdom.

CIIAI is the best vehicle toward achieving such convergence and understanding, given its focus on both antitrust developments and thorough policy review. Amongst the issues covered in CIIAI: Annual Antitrust Symposium & Policy Review are:

•Arbitrability of Antitrust Disputes•Private Antitrust L:itigation & Chinese Courts•Economic Fundamentals - Substantive Analysis of Mergers•Developments & Trends in Chinese Merger Control•Key Antitrust Issues Facing Chinese Companies Doing Business in the World•Compensation Claims and Cartels
