All Our Hopes Armando Castaño

What are your musical influences?

The objective of this band is to create a new sound, something that not a lot of people at least from Colombia have heard of.

Of course we listen to a lot of bands and try not to copy them but to copy how original they are, that’s what this project is all about.

The bands we listen to the most are: A Day To Remember, Rufio, The Offspring, Close Your Eyes, Jimmy Eat World, Blink 182 and Four Year Strong.

Exclusive interview with All Our Hopes

ALL OUR HOPES began as a project created, by Cesar (rhythm guitar) and gnome (bass and vocals) in mid-October 2011, it took some time to discover the gender they were going to play, after Armando (lead guitar) joined he contributed with a lot of ideas and that's how the band ended up doing pop punk with lots of guitar solos. Weeks after Ricardo (drummer) joined the band, which from the beginning put his touch to the basic rhythms but with much energy.

Where did the name “All Our

Hopes” came?

This name came from the idea of Gnome and Cesar because they have had a lot of bands in the past but it never ended the way they wanted, so they decided to make a project together and put everything they had to make it work, that’s why it is “All Our Hopes”.

Are you planning on recording an EP? First we are just recording some tracks to release them on our facebook and giving them for free just to see the reaction of all the fans that are waiting to hear something from us.

If everything works fine for us after we release our songs we will start as soon as possible on the EP so maybe if everything works fine we will be releasing it

on December of 2012.

How many songs are you planning to record?

We are working on three songs for now, we’ve just finished recording our first song we are going to be recording the other two song in about 2 or 3 weeks from now.

Hey, Awesome Hey, Awesome is a post-hardcore, metal core band from Colombia that was created on April from 2011, it’s formed by Julen Keoni (screams), Kazhi Gaidoku (clean vocals), Steve Bacon (lead guitar), Daniel Salazar (rhythm guitar), Armando Castaño (bass), Juan Esteban (synths, piano) and Sergio Rodriuez (drums).

They are actually working on their EP that is going to be released on June/July of 2012 promising to be a new step for this genre of music, with synths, powerful breakdowns, meaningful lyrics, a big improvement from the clean vocals without forgetting the screams.

They are working with direct action management; their producer Geño Garcia is helping them to bring out the best of them and to explode all the potential that this band has.

They’ve just released their new song called “abre tus ojos” even though it is a really good song and it has the electronic parts and they variate a lot the vocals (screams and clean vocals) you can hear really clear that there is a big similarity between “abre tus ojos” a song from the band Abandon All Ships called Take One Last Breath from the start you can notice all of these things that the band Welcome To The Darkness has taken and modified them just a little.

Mindless Mechanism new demo “Bobsled To Eternity”

Mindless mechanism has just released their new promo demo called bobsled to eternity, what you can see from this band is that it’s not afraid to show that they love all kinds of music from rap (they did a cover of “my band”) to classic videogames music themes such as chill penguin and boomer kuwanger (tracks from megaman). Also you can see in this promo demo that they have songs in english (Bobsled To Eternity, Break These Walls and Holy Groove) and they also have songs in Spanish (Arquitectos and Chumscrub). What you can say from this band is that you can’t really expect the same thing because they bring something new each time.
