My Dear Parishioners,

What would we do without the presence of God in our lives? Oftentimes we go through our day unaware of God’s loving providence for us. We are sustained with life simply because God loves us and He wants to offer us every available opportunity to continue in our conversion of heart completely toward Him. Through the gift of grace, we are then able to respond in faith. We have the free will to either cooperate with God’s grace or not.

I have heard that living the life of faith is like taking care of a farm. Farming is constant, day in and day out work. It is hard work but often is very rewarding. (Why else would you farm if it weren’t?) As a farmer, you use all your know-how to get the job done. You spend every available daylight hour and more to work. There are schedules to keep as well as natural timetables to follow. And after you have given all your best, you trust that God will bless your efforts according to His will. There are good years and bad years. But every year we gain something in the process, some good comes out of the harvest. Our faith informs us of the good even in the midst of hard times and suffering. If we live lives of faith, then we know that everything comes from God. We are dependent on God for our very existence. As we are dependent on God we also know that we just have to ask and God will provide what we need to follow His will. He will be with us even in trying times. Our Lord Jesus Christ taught us how to ask, to seek, and to knock in prayer so that we will be able to respond to God’s providence in our lives with a life of faith. Let us seek God often in our daily lives and rejoice that we are loved by God!In Christ,Fr. Guadagnoli

Mission Statement We, the people of St. Monica Catholic Church, are called through Baptism to

celebrate the presence of Jesus Christ in Word and Sacrament. In becoming what we receive, we are sent in peace to glorify the Lord by sharing our gifts in service to others and by inviting all into a deeper relationship with Christ. Inspired by our

patroness, St. Monica, we pray that all may become children of heaven.

ADULTOS EVANGELIZANDO

ADULTOS

Guadagnoli, Pastor
