• Natural Rate of Population Increase: Difference between birth rate and death rate

• Ok for population to grow, so long as employment, healthcare, etc. is increasing as well

• Many LDCs were former colonies who provided agricultural G to their colonizers–Received manufactured G from

colonizers preventing them from developing industries

• Government corruption• Political instability

• After colonization ended, LDC countries took on a large number of loans to develop –Unable to repay these loans
