ABSTRACT

The present project deals wireless technology in the hotel management area the

present system working is very tedious process ordering to one person sending

that with another person to kitchen sending the same to the cashier

This total procedure will be build up by using embedded system with wireless

technology By using zigbee technology we can reduce the man power in hotels and

also it reduces the wastage time

Here we developed one touch technology by select the item from menu list display in

LCD select one item then enter to transmit order data to the server point In receiver

section receive the order from respective table number and selected items then

server go to serve respect item to respective table customers

Page 5

Now a days we have seen an atomized vending machine which will serve a hot

or soft drinks Chocolates amp many things There is automation of tickets on

railway station So into dayrsquos world due increased demand and competition we

need to serve the people as user friendly as fast as possible

The objective of this restaurants automation is to develop an embedded

system which is a wireless dish ordering system at hotels amp restaurants by

using zigbee technology and touch panel

Page 6

The main aim of this project is to construct a user friendly multi-

language communication system for illiteratedumb people travelling

around the country

And we can reduce the manpower by using this system

when user sends his need through touch screen then micro controller

transmits that information through Zigbee transmitter The information

received by the Zigbee receiver will be displayed on LCD monitor

Then finally the server can supply items to the customer

Automation is the Technology Concerned with Application of electronics amp computer

based communication systems to operate amp control production Due to advancement

in technology we have seen atomization of many things

In restaurants touch panels are connected to tables The customers come to

restaurants and then they have to ordered for the items without wasting their time the

customer enter the items in the touch panel

After entering the touch panel given to the micro controller transmit the signal to the

monitor which is connected to zigbee it is in the kitchen

Page 8

In restaurants menu cards are available on each

table we can refer it amp place our order to waiter But we

never noticed disadvantages of this conventional

method You need to wait for the waiter to attend to you

Even it becomes difficult for the restaurant manager to keep

the changing prices on menu card At the same time adding

the new menu to the same card becomes tedious job for

anyone who is responsible for this job since changing menu

card within less time may result in cost rise

Page 9

Irregularity in Ordering

Wastage of time

Customer dissatisfaction

Poor management

Page 10

To overcome these problems RESTAURANTS AUTOMATION SYSTEM

installed on every table for ordering the menu These units will work as slave units amp will

be connected to central unit which can be kept at kitchen table

By using this system process will be Automated Shows the Menu card on the Touch

Screen with Cost to select the Items Order will be sent to Kitchen and Counter to

generate bill After paying the bill Session will be Closed

railway station So into dayrsquos world due increased demand and competition we

need to serve the people as user friendly as fast as possible

The objective of this restaurants automation is to develop an embedded

system which is a wireless dish ordering system at hotels amp restaurants by

using zigbee technology and touch panel

Page 6

The main aim of this project is to construct a user friendly multi-

language communication system for illiteratedumb people travelling

around the country

And we can reduce the manpower by using this system

when user sends his need through touch screen then micro controller

transmits that information through Zigbee transmitter The information

received by the Zigbee receiver will be displayed on LCD monitor

Then finally the server can supply items to the customer

Page 7

TITLE JUSTIFICATION

No database maintenance

Increased manpower

Zigbee is a low cost low power wireless communication standard based on Personal Area

Network (PAN)

Zigbee is targeted at applications that require a low data rate long battery life and secure

networking

ZigBee operates in the Industrial

Here we developed one touch technology by select the item

from menu list display in LCD select one item then enter to

transmit order data to the server point

In receiver section receive the order from respective table

number and selected items then server go to serve respect item

to respective table customers In this way we can speed up the

servicing and attract the customer with

Zigbee is a low cost low power wireless communication standard based on Personal Area

Network (PAN)

Zigbee is targeted at applications that require a low data rate long battery life and secure

networking

ZigBee operates in the Industrial

Scientific and Medical (ISM) radio

bands with a maximum data rate

of 250 kilobitssecond

A touch screen is an electronic visual display that can detect the presence and

location of a touch within the display area

It enables one to interact directly with what is displayed rather than indirectly with

any other intermediate device

The touch screen interface is being used in a wide variety of applications to

improve human-computer interaction
