Located on the north side of the basilica this work of art was created with heavy use of religious themes.Beyond that there is also the perfect symmetry to all

the individual pieces giving the over all creation thestrong sense of balance and unity. The center piece isencircled by a almost rainbow band of colors to givethe impression of radiating light to the rest of pieces. The lines running out from the center give theboundaries to the other themed pictures along eachsection.

Located on the north side of the cathedral, this work of art is themed after the Glorification of the Virgin andfeatures Virgin Mary in the center with baby Jesus.

There is a heavier use of purple glass tiles used throughout this rose glass. The shapes and positions of theindividual pieces are giving the sense of radiatingoutward from the Virgin Mary center piece. The Virgin Mary shows up again along the bottom portionof the stain glass in the center of the four otherindividuals with a yellow halo signifying Holiness.

This is be far my favorite rose glass art out of the six we will be seeing today. The elaborate metal work donehere to hold the glass tiles together is suburb, the line

design giving a over laying shape with the glass patterncreating smaller forms and shapes. It s the over alltexture that helps make it unique when compared tothe rest. There is no focus to anyone person just apattern and rhythm of shapes and colors forming aintrinsic piece of art.

Located on the north side of the great transpept this roseglass s theme is of the Last Judgment. The lining andshapes of this art work has a strong emphasis of circularshapes, either they are complete circles or make up smaller

intersecting circles. The center piece having the highest value than the rest, it depicts the form of Jesus Christ witha two tone halo around his head. With each different sceneon the rose glass there is a good sense of movement goingon, people going done to kneel, some are waving

parchments, and some others are about to give grace. It is a very complex piece of work showing the great skill anddedication its creators had to possess to complete this workof art.

Located in the south part of the transept this rose glass isthemed after the New Testament. The thicker lines of theglass boundaries seem to be radiating, or moving, outwardfrom the center. This is giving more emphasis on thecenter figure which is depiction of Jesus Christ. There is aunifying story in the rest of the glass sections as it relates tothe New Testament, each of them framing a significant partof a story in the testament's chapters. This pattern and

rhythm between the glass sections continue throughoutand is assisted by the shaped boundaries pointing outward which at first may bring the viewer s attention inward willshift it back out to the outer most boundary.

Located in the pulpit area, this rose window depicts Virgin Mary with baby Jesus. The lines and shapesresemble that of a flowers petals with the center figure

being the center of all activity. This is a great balanceof religious story telling and artistic work helping toshow off the unity of all the individual pieces.
