Surface Ocean CO2 Atlas• SOCATv3 released in 9/2015

• Consists of 14.5 million fCO2 data on > 3600 cruises covering the years 1957-2014

• All data is citable using DOIs

• Yearly updates from 2016

• Prominent users: Global Carbon Project (GCP) and Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)

• Data will be available as CDIs by 2015
