As a medium-sized company we operate beyond Germany’s borders and are well known on the roads of many regions throug-hout Europe. Together with our subsidiaries and service support points, we provide the latest road traffic technology from our headquarters in Detmold. Our products range from traffic control-lers of a modular design, a series of traffic signals developed in-house and innovative LED lighting technology through to modular traffic management systems for highly complex traffic situations – in other words, everything required to ensure the orderly flow of traffic.

ReTCon is the abbreviation of Regional Traffic Control.This is based on our ultra- modern, modular traffic ma-nagement system. This product is exceedingly versatile, safe and has been thoroughly tes-ted in the field. From commu-nicating with and monitoring of individual traffic signal systems to the management of complex traffic situations – with the ReTCon.Online, ReTCon.Center and ReTCon.Compact variants, this high-performance system covers all requirements

ReTCon enables the compre-hensive, differentiated and temporally unrestricted com-munication with all connec-ted traffic signal systems. The system can be limited to querying only the most urgent fault messages, but also allows close, ongoing communication between the connected traffic signal systems and the control centre. Reliable and constant status analyses ensure the fastest reactions.

With ReTCon.Online, every traffic signal system operator has a full overview of all the information – regardless of when or whe-re. The only prerequisite is a PC with Internet access. The system can be accessed in a matter of seconds without disrupting other workplace activities.

With ReTCon.Online, the user sees all the required information concerning the operating status of the connected signal systems as well as any discrepancies.

ReTCon.CenterControls an entire town

The ReTCon.Center variant is a fully fledged traffic control centre which can also take over the complete control of an entire town if need be. This versatile central traffic management system enables the control of a town centre with a high density of traffic signal systems via dedicated line. Suburban areas which do not justify a dedicated line can be connected conveniently to ReTCon.Center via mobile communications.

ReTCon.CompactFully fledged traffic computer for outdoor use

ReTCon.Compact is designed for outdoor use. This traffic com-puter can coordinate entire streets or select signal programmes automatically via a traffic actuated control system. ReTCon.Com-pact enables the connection of up to 30 traffic signal systems via dedicated line, DSL/fibre optics and GPRS/UMTS.

ReTCon.Compact enables the connection of up to 30 traffic light systems via dedicated line and DSL/fibre optics. The key features of this system include the permanent access to process data, configurab-le message forwarding via email, SMS and fax, data links to other systems and the remote supply of traffic controllers via OCIT.

Our traffic controllers are tailored to the increasing demands of future traffic control systems. We thus provide exactly the right solutions for both small intersections and pedestrian crossings as well as for complex, large-scale systems. All systems are extre-mely flexible in programming and handling thanks to an ideally coordinated hardware and software concept. They are therefore ideal as stand-alone units or as a part of a group of coordinated traffic controllers.

Mobile Apps

As increasingly efficient smartphones and tablets become more widely available, mobile apps are also becoming more popular in the traffic signal technology sector. With the powerful Stüh-renberg toolkit, signal systems can be controlled and configured simply by tapping a few symbols. Despite flashing blue lights and sirens, there is often no way through heavy traffic in towns and cities for emergency services. STGPS FreeWay can help when every minute counts.

Our tried-and-tested control system enables priority green- switching for emergency vehicles as they approach the junction. Fire brigade, police or ambulance vehicles equipped with STGPS FreeWay are detected in good time and the traffic signal systems are switched to green thanks to the preemptive control.

The intelligent system determines the precise location of the vehicle via GPS coordinates and transmits the data to the traffic signal systems. The locating system is activated simply by switching on the special signal on the emergency vehicle. A tunnel-proof GPS link is installed in the vehicle for this purpose, whereby a supporting locating system ensures the reliable de-termination of the vehicle location even in extreme conditions. All communication between the vehicle and the traffic signal system is fully automatic – without any additional intervention from the driver. Thus, In an emergency, emergency vehicles can cross the junction safely, without losing time and regardless of the route.
