For those who cover the team year round, you may still access the media center outside of those hours with your assigned key cards/codes.

* If you do not have a reserved work station, please find an open work space in the press conference room.

PRACTICE POLICIES* All practices are open in their entirety during training camp. Filming/photography will be allowed through the ENTIRE practice through the night practice in TCO Stadium on August 4. The Vikings ask that video focus on individual players rather than wide-angle views of specific plays. Beginning Monday, August 6, filming will be allowed through individual drills only (Dates are subject to change).

* Members of the media ARE allowed to blog and/or “tweet” from the practice field during training camp.

* Members of the media are NOT allowed to live stream from the practice field unless in accordance with NFL policy or previously approved by Vikings PR.

* Due to safety precautions, no tripods are permitted in the end zones; however, they are allowed along the east sideline.

* Also, due to safety precautions, no kneeling or sitting is permitted while on the practice field.

* Media members must stay behind the white lines surrounding the practice fields. Please do not go in between the fields.

* No food or drink (except water) is allowed on the fields.

* Please do not report on offensive or defensive strategy, including formations, personnel groupings or unconventional plays.

* Media members are asked to NOT wear Vikings apparel, as this is a working environment.

* Media members are also asked to NOT seek autographs and/or photos with players. If a media member is caught doing this, he/she will be asked to leave.

MEDIA AVAILABILITY* Please let a member of the Vikings public relations staff know which players you would like to visit with during media availability. The PR staff will make every effort to connect you with those players at the conclusion of practice.

* Player/coach interviews and press conferences - which are never to be live streamed unless in accordance with NFL policy or previously approved by Vikings PR - will take place in the assigned area north of the practice fields near the locker room doors. Do not stop players on the practice fields, and please step to the side while conducting interviews to allow other players access to the locker room.

* Head Coach Mike Zimmer, as well as coaches John DeFilippo, George Edwards and Mike Priefer, will be available on specified days throughout camp. Any requests to speak with the coordinators, or a position coach, outside of those days must be approved through a member of the Vikings public relations staff.

* Media are asked to understand that because of the high demand for certain players (e.g. Kirk Cousins, Stefon Diggs, etc.), these players will not speak every day. If traveling, please make arrangements with the public relations department ahead of time to request access to a specific player.

2018 VIKINGS SCHEDULE NOTES2018 SCHEDULE NOTES

Week 13 will bring the second matchup against a Super Bowl LII team. The defending AFC Champions will host the Vikings at Gillette Stadium for the first time in Head Coach Mike Zimmer’s time at the helm. This will mark the 13th matchup between the two clubs. The Vikings will look to win their first game against the Patriots since 2000.

The Miami Dolphins will travel to U.S. Bank Stadium during the regular season for the first time. The last time the Vikings and the Dolphins squared off was in 2014 and the Vikings suffered a 37-35 loss in Coach Zimmer’s first season at the helm. The Vikings last home win over the Dolphins came in 2002, a 20-17 victory. The Dolphins are coming off a 6-10 season in which they won their lone indoor game, a 20-17 defeat of Atlanta.

The Vikings close out the season by hosting the Bears for the third consecutive season and have now played Chicago in four of the last five season finales, all at home. Last season, Minnesota swept Chicago for the 17th time in franchise history. The Vi-kings have won their last six home contests against the Bears and eight of their last 10, including last season’s 23-10 victory. This season also marks the second straight year Minnesota will face division opponents in the final two weeks of the season.

Date Opponent All-Time Series Notes (Home/Away)

12/30 Chicago 60-52-2 (37-21-0) H

For the second consecutive year the Vikings-Saints game will be featured on prime time. This year’s meeting will be televised on NBC for Sunday Night Football. Minnesota plays host to the New Orleans Saints for the third time in two seasons, including playoffs. Last year the Vikings swept the Saints to open and close the season at U.S. Bank Stadium, with the NFC Divisional Round game likely to be remembered as one of the best games in NFL history. The game featured the ‘Minneapolis Miracle’ and was the first in playoff history that resulted in a walk-off touchdown as time expired.

This game marks the third consecutive season playing in Philadelphia, including playoffs. With a win, the Vikings can improve their overall record to 14-14 against the Eagles. Vikings Offensive Coordinator John DeFilippo coached the Philadelphia QBs last year when the Eagles defeated the Vikings in the NFC Championship game and went on to win Super Bowl LII. Minnesota is 5-3 when playing Philadelphia in October.

This game will mark the fifth time the Vikings have hosted the Cardinals since 2010, with the club looking to win its 11th consecutive home outing. The Vikings are 6-2 against the Cardinals since the Wilf family purchased the team in 2005. The last matchup was Nov. 20, 2016 with a 30-24 Minnesota victory.

The Vikings will look to gain their first victory against the Lions in U.S. Bank Stadium and avenge their only loss in the NFC North in 2017. Minnesota’s 72 victories against the Lions are the most against any opponent in franchise history. The team’s last home win came in 2015 when the Vikings swept the Lions.

Week 11 will feature a divisional game against the Bears. Last year the Vikings defeated Chicago in a Monday Night nail-biter. This will be the 56th meeting in the Windy City for the Vikings. The Vikings are 6-2 when facing the Bears under Mike Zimmer. Under Zimmer, the Vikings hold a 2-2 record following a bye. The last time the Vikings faced off against the Bears following a bye week was in 2014, when Chicago defeated Minnesota 21-13. The Vikings lead the all-time series when playing Chicago in November, 12-8-0.This game marks the 116th matchup between the franchises. The Vikings will look to win three in a row against their rivals for the first time since 2008-09. A victory in Week 12 will tip the home series in Minnesota’s favor, after tying the series last year. This matchup will mark the sixth straight season the rivalry game will be featured on a prime-time broadcast. Minnesota has an 18-17 all-time record playing on Sunday Night Football. The last time the Vikings and Packers squared off on Sunday Night was the inaugural game at U.S. Bank Stadium on Sept. 18, 2016.

Minnesota will host San Francisco for the 24th time in franchise history and the first time in U.S. Bank Stadium for a regu-lar-season matchup. This is the second time with Head Coach Mike Zimmer at the helm Minnesota has opened the season against the 49ers. The Vikings are looking to improve their home record with their sixth straight home victory against the 49ers. Vikings offensive line coach Tony Sparano was a part of the 49ers staff in the last matchup between the two teams in 2015 when the Vikings suffered a 20-3 loss in the Bay Area.

Minnesota at the Los Angeles Rams in 2018 will be the 18th Thursday Night game in franchise history. The Vikings return to Los Angeles to play the Rams for the first time since 1992. This will mark the 25th meeting in the City of Angels. In 2017, the Vikings beat the NFC West Champion Rams 24-7 at U.S. Bank Stadium.

After meeting in the preseason, the Vikings will travel to Seattle to battle the Seahawks for the second time this year. This will be the third time, including playoffs, the teams meet under Head Coach Mike Zimmer. This is the first matchup between the two teams on Monday Night Football. Minnesota’s Monday Night all-time record is 29-32. The Vikings seek to extend that record to three straight wins after defeating New Orleans (Sept. 11) and Chicago (Oct. 9) in 2017. The Vikings look to rebound in the series after suffering four straight losses, with the last win coming at home in 2009. Minnesota has not played Seattle in a regular-season contest since the postseason loss in the NFC Wild Card round in 2015.

This will mark the first time the Buffalo Bills will travel to U.S. Bank Stadium to play the Vikings. In 2014, the last time these two teams met, the Bills walked away victorious in Buffalo. The Vikings lead the all-time series 8-5 and have only lost once out of the five games played in Minnesota.

The Vikings pulled out a gritty win on the road on Thanksgiving Day last year, splitting the series between the Lions for the first time since 2013. The Week 16 matchup marks the third consecutive season the Vikings have traveled to a division op-ponent during the penultimate week of the season and the first time Detroit and Minnesota have battled in Week 16 since 1997. The last time the Vikings and Lions faced off in December was in 2014, when the Lions won a tightly contest battle in Detroit, 16-14.

Head Coach Mike Zimmer and the Vikings will travel to New York looking to secure their first victory on the road against the Jets (in the previous five road attempts the Vikes have come up short). The last time these two teams met, the game went into overtime and the Vikings came out victorious in Minnesota (2014).

The Vikings 16-0 win in 2017 was their first shutout at Lambeau Field and the first time since 1971. The last nine out of 10 NFC North titles have been split between Minnesota and Green Bay, with Minnesota claiming the title last year.
