The study tour will focus on learning more about trade of agricultural products, agricultural production abroad, agricultural education, agricultural marketing and agrotourism. The experience includes tours of remains of historic castles as well as engagement at a local university where agriculture is taught as a vocation. Join up to 14 fellow 4-H members from Maryland along with University of Maryland Extension Faculty members on a two week agricultural focused educational tour of Great Britain. The study center is part of Lord Baltimore’s original estate – the Earl who founded the state of Maryland. The study center is located adjacent to Lord Baltimore Castle Manor on a beautiful expanse of English countryside. Amenities include single beds in a dorm type setting, linens, private bathrooms and showers. July 12 and 13: Tour London including historically significant sites: Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, London Tower, London Bridge, Thames River Walk, and London Eye

July 14: Travel via train across English countryside to Yorkshire Region to University of Maryland Kiplin Study Center

July 14 – 20: Yorkshire Experience to Include: • Service Learning and exchange experience with Scoutso of London including team building and cultural appreciation workshops. • Immersion at Agricultural University focused on Equine, Swine, Bovine production and agronomic course work – even some reptile man-

agement too!!. Experience university professors and classroom abroad as well as live animal experiences with their herds, racehorses, and reptilian specimens.

• Learn about historic Richmond including the Castle Ruins where the delegation will participate in a gardening community service project • Engagement at local livestock auction, rope making factory and working dog demonstration.• Learn about local pasture management techniques in rock walled sheep and cattle paddocks • Tour local horse race track and industry. • Get a little taste of local camping at a Scout hosted cookout and campfire.• Experience environmental science locations including local lakes and hiking trails.

July 20: Travel by train to Edinburgh, Scotland

July 21: Tour wool textile markets, Edinburgh castle, Queen’s Castle and Royal Mile

July 22: Flight back to USA- Arrive to Dulles airport, Washington, D.C
