Chapter 1: To use System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) 2016 to deploy an OfficeScan (OSCE) XG Service Pack 1 (SP1) agent:

1. Prepare an agent MSI package.

2. Deploy the agent MSI package using SCCM.

3. Update the OfficeScan agent.

The detailed steps are provided in the following chapters.

Chapter 2:

To prepare the agent MSI package:

1. On the OfficeScan server, go to <Server installation folder>\PCCSRV\Admin\Utility\ClientPackager\.

2. Double-click ClnPack and create an MSI package.

3. Move the MSI package to the SCCM server.

4. On the SCCM server, create a folder and place the MSI package into it.

Chapter 3:

To deploy the agent MSI package using SCCM 2016:

1. On the SCCM console, click Software Library > Application Management.

2. Right-click on Packages > Click Create Package.

3. In the Name field, type “Trend Micro OfficeScan Agent”.

4. Tick the checkbox for “The package contains source files” and click Browse….

5. Select “Local folder on site server” and click Browse… to locate the folder.

6. Click OK > Next.

7. Select “Standard program” and click Next.

8. Under “Specify information about this standard program”, use the following information for the specified fields:

● Name: Agent install

● Command line: msiexec.exe /i Agent.msi /q /l* C:\agentinstall.log

● Startup folder:

● Run: Hidden

● Program can run: Whether or not a user is logged on

9. Click Next.

10. Select “The program can run only on specified platforms”.

11. Refer to the System Requirements document and select the supported platform.

12. Click Next.

13. Click Next twice and then click Close.

14. On the lower panel, select Programs and right-click on Agent install, then click Deploy.

15. Click Browse… on the Collection line.

NOTE Please do not deploy the program on the same machine multiple times.

16. Select Device Collections and choose a collection to install the OfficeScan agent, then click OK.

17. Click Add to configure the Distribution point.

18. Select the distribution points and click OK > Next.

19. For the Purposed dropdown, select Required and click Next.

20. Specify the schedule for this deployment and click Next.

21. There is no need to modify User Experience. Just click Next.

22. Specify how to run the content and click Next.

23. Click Next twice, then click Close.

24. Go to Assets and Compliance > Devices and right-click on the collection.

25. Select Client Notification and click Download Computer Policy and Evaluate Application Deployments.

Chapter 4:

To update the OfficeScan agent:

1. Create a newer version of the OfficeScan agent MSI package.

2. Move this version to the same folder as the old one.

3. On the SCCM console, right-click on Trend Micro OfficeScan Agent package and click Update Distribution Points, then click OK.

4. Right-click on Trend Micro OfficeScan Agent and click Create Program.

NOTE Please at least keep the initial installing package in the folder.

5. Select “Standard program” and click Next.

6. Under “Specify information about this standard program”, use the following information for the specified fields:

● Name: Agent update

● Command line: msiexec.exe /fvo New.msi /q /l* C:\agentupdate.log

● Startup folder:

● Run: Hidden

● Program can run: Whether or not a user is logged on

7. Click Next.

8. Select “The program can run only on specified platforms”.

11. Click Next twice, then click Close.

12. On the lower panel, select Programs and right-click on Agent update, then click Properties.

13. Go to the Advanced tab and tick “Run another program first”.

14. For Package, click Browse… and select Trend Micro OfficeScan Agent.

15. For Program, select “Agent install” and click OK.

16. On the lower panel, select Programs and right-click on Agent update, then click Deploy.

17. For Collection, click Browse….

18. Select Device Collections and choose the collection to install OfficeScan agent, then click OK.

19. Specify the distribution points and click Next.

20. For Purpose, select Required and click Next.
