Over and above these criteria, applicants must demonstrate an ability to communicate their ideas effectively by writing clearly and succinctly throughout. An inability to do so will reduce the score you achieve for each section affected. Likewise, final payment of the award is dependent on receipt of a good quality Final Report that clearly sets out the objectives of the project, how the award was spent and what was achieved with it.

What is the aim of the proposed project? What challenge is it trying to address (see 1.1 below)? Provide evidence of the impact of the issue you are addressing and of the value the transport industry would derive from successfully addressing this challenge.
