Rapidly Deployable Power Supplies We understand the need to minimise costs, maximise safety and ensure tunnelling work continues efficiently, that’s why we offer a range of rapidly deployable power supplies.

These rapidly deployable solutions are designed for ease of transport and minimal siteworks, come fully tested and significantly reduce the time and workforce required to install and commission.

Electronic Systems

Communications and Control Systems We design, install and support customised communication, tagging and tracking and monitoring and control systems specifically for tunnelling projects. Onsite Services Our onsite support teams can provide emergency and scheduled support for installation, commissioning, maintenance, repairs, calibration and testing on electrical, electronic and control systems.

Transformer Maintenance and TestingWe can ensure optimal transformer performance through the provision of a range of testing and maintenance services performed onsite or in our dedicated transformer workshops and oil testing laboratory.

Engineering Services From project management to design, commissioning and application engineering we provide a range of electrical, electronic and automation engineering services, that provide you with access to industry experts who can maximise productivity and operational efficiency.

Overhauls and Repairs Our extensive workshop and field resources are available to repair, upgrade and overhaul high voltage electrical and electronic equipment onsite or in our workshops.

Cables Our experienced workshop technicians and agile field service crews offer comprehensive cable management services from hire and sale of cables to transport and onsite services, workshop based repairs, audits and testing.

Electrical Equipment Rooms Ampcontrol was contracted to deliver 46 transportable Electrical Equipment Rooms (EERs) to power the Westconnex tunnel project in Sydney, including critical fire control, air quality and fan systems. The approach adopted by Ampcontrol focused on off-site manufacturing and represented the first time that transportable EERs had been used in a major tunnel in Australia. The rooms were manufactured at Ampcontrol’s Newcastle operations and installed directly into the tunnel in Sydney.

Temporary Excavation Electrical System and Cables Ampcontrol designed, commissioned and hired the temporary electrical system and cables for excavation of the Westconnex M4E and M5 tunnel projects.

This covered a range of engineering and site services including:

� Engineering studies and reports - fault levels, protection and power quality

� Earth system designs

� Factory and site acceptance testing and commissioning

� Termination of surface 11kV cables

� High voltage operator familiarisation training

� Production of ISMPs and technical liaison with supply authority

Key Projects

Westconnex, Sydney NSW

Check Lap Kok Tunnel, Hong Kong Ampcontrol was engaged by the Dragages/Bouygues JV for the supply of the high voltage electrical network from the 11kV substation to the world record 17.63m diameter earth pressure balance TBM. This included complete electrical systems and associated 11kV switchrooms, step-up transformers, cabling and terminations including our innovative H3RO fibre optic solution, installation, testing and commissioning of all equipment and systems. Our expert engineering ensured the TBM performed effectively and efficiently.

Thomson East Coast Line Tunnel, Singapore Ampcontrol was engaged to provide communication infrastructure for the Thomson East Coast Line Tunnel in Singapore.

Using our H3RO fibre optic solution we supported emergency voice communication requirements for real time monitoring and reporting to the surface.

Snowy Hydro, Colongra NSWAmpcontrol was commissioned by Snowy Hydro to undertake transformer and generator protection system testing and provide commissioning support over an 18 month rolling program of work at the site.

We deployed five Protection and Commissioning Technicians onsite to complete:

� Transformer testing and commissioning support

� Generator protection system testing and commissioning support

� 3.3kV x 6km of cable fault finding and repairs
