•Adult Literacy Media Alliance (ALMA) wanted to help adults with below average level skills in reading and math

•ALMA decided to use broadcast television to deliver educational media

1998:

•ALMA created TV411 and it was broadcasted on public television

Emmy Award-winning program still plays on many TV stationsOriginal TV411learning materials still used by thousands of adult education programs nationwide
