• What is the UK position?
– An estimated 240,000 new homes needed every year to meet demand.

• What has been delivered in the UK?
– 109,370 housing completions in 2013. Down 5% on 2012.
– 122,590 housing starts in 2013. Up 23% on 2012. – 197,325 dwellings consented in the 12 months up to
Q2 2014, a level not seen since 2008. – 21,458 dwellings consented in the SW, up 10% on
the previous year.

Agree a timetable with the LA and ensure we
keep to it. Submit good quality information. LAs must ensure they are adequately
resourced. Communicate.

• Discharging of planning conditions LA to deal with the discharge of conditions in a
timely manner. Submit good quality information. LAs may need to be flexible in terms of certain
condition discharges - materials. Communicate.

• Skills and Labour shortage Apprentices, Management Trainees and
Graduates being recruited across the business.
TW Academies in place for Site Management, Sales Executives and office based staff.
Ensure that when our sub contractors come to site it is ready for them to do their work.

• Materials Shortage Ensure programmes allow for adequate call
off. Flexibility needed and joint working with LA.

• Support SME’s – access to funds and Bonding arrangements.
