Come and join us as we Walk through the Gospels

and hear the Good News of Jesus

as recorded by Matthew, Mark, Luke and John

If you are ready to hear the gospels as they were meant to be

heard when written by Matthew, Mark, Luke and John,

then this 8-week course specifically designed for our

parish is for you!

A Walk Through the Gospels makes reading the Gospels not

only easy, but exciting. In this study, you will learn why

we believe that Jesus is the one promised by God

throughout the ages. At each Mass we hear the Gospel

proclaimed but don’t see it come alive as told by the

authors to their specific audience.

A Walk Through the Gospels will be offered for 8-weeks

starting in September:

Sunday Evenings – 6:30pm – 8:00pm (Sept 20th to

Nov 8th )

CALL NOW!

You must REGISTER before Sept. 12th

by calling Rose

Ragucci (732-548-3880)

ST. VINCENT de PAUL FRIENDS OF THE POOR WALK

OPPORTUNITY FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS

On September 19 my daughter, Lisa, and I will once again be participating in this wonderful event. In the past we have been able to raise between $800 and $1000 to be used by our St. Vincent de Paul conference to assist many families in our community in their time of need. If you would like to support our effort please go to the St. Vincent de Paul Friends of the Poor website and click on the Donate to Walker button and type in our name, Michnewicz.

Also, if anyone would like to participate in the walk you can do so by registering on the website. Please make sure you direct your donations to the St. John Vianney Colonia conference.

If you have any questions please call me, Deacon Tom Michnewicz at 732-574-1651.

Thank you in advance for your support. God Bless you.

If there is any change in your child’s dismissal schedule (i.e. going to aftercare, being picked up instead of riding the bus, etc.), please send a note to your child’s teacher.

If you have had any change to your home, work, cell, or emergency contact phone numbers or home address, please notify the school office of the change.

Encountering Pope Francis

To Pastors: Be shepherds with the smell of sheep…

A Culture of Encounter “I prefer a church which is bruised, hurting and dirty because it has been out on the streets, rather than a church which is

unhealthy from being confined and from clinging to its own security.” – Pope Francis

Does this pique your interest? If so, read on….

Pope Francis is challenging not only the priests to smell like a shepherd but all of us to step outside of our comfort zone.

Come and find out what this means and what you can do…

This is part of the Diocesan effort in preparation for Pope’s visit and these sessions were held in the Diocesan Neumann Center

in Piscataway, and now theses sessions will be held on Wednesdays in September and October at 7 pm at St. Cecelia’s church

to Encounter Pope Francis and his message – All are welcome.

Light refreshments will be served

For more information please contact Maureen Jorgensen at [email protected] or 732-910-0907 or Mary Mallavarapu at
