About NICMAR
The National Institute of Construction Management and Research (NICMAR), has been constituted as a non
profit organization with the express objective of engaging in activities for the promotion of training, research,
professionalism and skill formation at all levels of the construction and other allied industries. Besides that,
NICMAR’s objectives include undertaking special projects, collaboration with other organizations,
dissemination of knowledge through seminars / conferences, etc; publishing literature, undertaking consultancy
and taking necessary actions conducive to fulfillment of the objectives of the Society. Under the Bombay Public
Trust Act, 1950, NICMAR was registered as a Public Trust in 1982. The NICMAR Society was constituted in
1984 and registered under the Societies’ Registration Act, 1860.

Faculty Profiles
Prof. Seshadri Sekhar Tirumala, Dean, is with 25 years of teaching experience with a couple
of industrial experiences. He has pursued his M.Tech in Structural Engineering from JNTU,
Hyderabad; MS in Software Systems from BITS, Pilani; Doctorate from JNTU, Hyderabad.
His specializations vary among Engineering, Construction Management, Construction
Methods & Techniques, Construction Material Management, Principles and Practices of
Structural Engineering.
Prof. B. Ravinder, Associate Professor is a Civil Engineer with 27 years of experience in
handling international projects across the globe. Simultaneously he has pursued his
academic interests and has qualifications of M.Tech (HWRE), MBA (Technology
Management), M.Phil (Management), Advanced Post Graduate Diploma in Quantity
Surveying and Valuation and carrying his doctoral research work from KLE-Vijayawada.
Prof. Apparao Gandi, Assistant Professor, had worked as an Engineering consultant for
ALSA Road Construction, Canada and research associate at Construction Engineering,
University of Quebec, Canada. Prior to that he worked as a Project Manager (Civil
Infrastructure Projects) for IMC Worldwide USA.
He is certified Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) professional.
Prof. Vijayeta Malla, Assistant Professor, is a PMI certified PMP® (Project Management
Professional), LEED® Green Associate™, and Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt with
over 14 years of demonstrated history of working in the AECO & Academia industry. She
is currently pursuing a Ph.D. from IIT Bombay and possesses Masters (M.Tech) from IIT
Madras in Construction Technology & Management specialization under BIS (Build India
Scholarship) from M/s L&T(2009-11).
Prof. Ravindranadh Chowdary Kamma, Assistant Professor is is with 5 years of teaching
experience and 8 years of industrial experience. He has pursued his M.Tech in Constructin
Technology & Management from IIT, Madras; currently carrying his doctoral research work in
Civil Engineering from IIT Delhi.
His specializations vary among Estimation & Quantity Surveying, Microsoft Project & Primavera,
Project Management Systems & techniques, Construction equipment Management
Prof. Mukkamala Ram Babu, Assistant Professor has pursued B.Sc (Electronics) from OU,
MCA from IGNOU, M.Tech (Computer Science & Engineering) from Nagarjuna University,
and currently carrying his doctoral research work in Computer Science from Dravidian
University, Kuppam, AP.
His specializations vary among Project Management, Management Information System,
Relational Database Management System, Systems Analysis and Design, Software
Engineering & Quality Management, Data warehousing and Data Mining
Prof. Savitha Chilakamarri, Assistant Professor has pursued BA (English) and MA
(English and Literature) from from Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning,
Puttaparthi; UGC (NET) Qualified with JRF/SRF, CIDTT (Cambridge International
Diploma for Teachers and Trainers) and received doctorate from University of
Hyderabad in English language.
Her Specializations vary among English Language, Communication Skills, Technical
Report Writing, Professional Communication, Business English, Communicative English,
Analytical Essay Writing, Managerial Skills Workshop, Business And Project
Management
Prof. Prashanth Kumar Sreram, is a certified Project Management Professional PMP® and
M.Tech Construction Technology and Management, with 11 years of Construction Project
Management experience. With an avid interest for transforming students to be industry ready,
he moved to teaching by joining as faculty at National Institute of Construction Management
and Research (NICMAR), Hyderabad, since 2018. His areas of interests include Contract and
Claims Management, Proposals Engineering and Project Management. He is currently
pursuing Ph.D at IIT Bombay.
