Congratulations to the boys soccer team for a huge win against Center this Past Friday night.  They won 3-0 and Center is currently ranked #5 in the state polls by maxpreps.  Scoring goals for the Wildcats were Chris Giron, Tomas Garcia and Josue Bermudes.  Assists came from Tomas Garcia, Malick Absy and Tony Guzman.  Standout on the defensive side of the ball was Allan Marquez.  The score was tied 0-0 at half and then the Wildcats broke the match wide open by scoring 3 goals in an 11 minute span.  I am very proud of these young men and now we have to win one of our last two matches to be crowned district champs for the 2nd year in a row.  The Wildcats have a district record of 6-0 and overall record or 20-1-2. We also want to say thank you to everyone that came out and supported us Friday night!!

Congratulations to the Boys Soccer Team for clinching their 2nd consecutive District Championship with a 6-2 win over Lufkin Hudson.  The Wildcats were led by Chris Giron and Tony Guzman's two goals a piece and also Allan Marquez’s three assists.  They run their undefeated district record to 7-0 and overall record to 21-1-2.  The Wildcats return to action Friday night in Diboll for their last district match.  The Wildcats will have a warm up match with Athens on March 21st and that will be senior night.  Bi-District Playoff match is tentatively set for March 25th at Bryan Rudder High School.  Please come out and support your Boys Soccer Team as they begin their journey for a Soccer State Championship!!

JVA vs Elkhart - Lost 2-11 - Hits: Faith Newman 2 singles, Jenna Rogers Double and single, Jessilyn Jenkins single. Coach McDonald: "This was only our second game and I am very proud of our offensive progress. These are great group of girls who are only going to continue to improve." Varsity vs Fairfield - Lost 0-21 - Hits: Melanie Esparza single, Taylor Brown double. Coach Chapa: “We had some amazing defensive plays in the first three innings. Unfortunately we just couldn't get anything going on the offensive side of the ball to gain any momentum. The girls played hard and the score really doesn't tell the whole story in this game. I am very proud of our girls and they are only going to continue to get better.”

Our Ladycat soccer team defeated a very competitive team of Lufkin-Hudson. The Ladycat’s were down a goal in the first half, but they stepped it up in the second half and ended up winning the match with a score of 3-1! Goal scorers were Karina Trejo (2) assisted by Isabel Garcia, and Ashleigh Martinez with an outside of the box shot from 25 yards out! WE are so proud of the way the lady cats handled the adversity and came back to win the match!

The Ladycat soccer team will take on Diboll this coming Friday March 11, 2016 in our last district game of the season.

If you see any of our soccer girls in the next couple of days please congratulate them for a job well done!
