• Formed between moving vehicles equipped with wireless

interfaces

• Also known as VANETs

• Main objective of increasing road traffic safety and efficiency

by inter vehicular communication

• The network is provided by the DHCP servers installed

roadsides

Integration of network interface, GPS receiver , differentsensors and an onboard computer system which is capable

gathering , processing and distributing information

• Requires wireless mobile comm.

• Current options: cellular, ad-hoc, wireless LAN and info

stations

• Comfort applications

• Mobility management schemes must be scalable and efficient

• Geographic routing instead of ad hoc routing due to the large

latency and overhead

Hand off management for changing vehicles nearby• management of vehicular network is tougher than other

network management

network in which each processor has its own local memory

and other peripherals

• Information Sharing among Distributed Users

• Resource Sharing

• provides shorter response times and higher throughput by

load distribution among several processors

• Increased complexity and difficulty in building distributed

network
