About the 2018 UAC Sydney Underwriting ExpoThe annual Sydney Underwriting Expo is the Underwriting Agencies Council’s premier event, which attracted more than 500 people in 2017. The Expo is the ideal opportunity for brokers to talk directly to UAC member agencies and Business Service members about their specialist products and services.
The event has grown dramatically over the last few years and year on year is sold out. With many UAC members and other insurance industry participants asking for more opportunities to promote their wares to this target audience, UAC has compiled these detailed offerings.

Five key staff members will be at the forefront of this event at the welcoming breakfast, before the Expo opens, throughout the day, at all sub-functions and at closing. You have the opportunity to provide uniforms (eg t-shirts) for them to be prominently viewed as the information points of contact and to profile your company as a key partner.
Details can be finalised between the sponsor and UAC team for an appropriate uniform using what you may already have available. Staff are required to look business appropriate, be comfortable and easily visible.

The Expo Hall doors will not open until 7.30am on Friday 9 March 2018

Given previous years’ feedback, UAC has extended the opening hours to 2.30pm
Event App technology ensures brokers visit a minimum of 30 exhibitors to be eligible for lucky draw prizes and to collect CPD points

Feature your organisation at the 2018 UAC Sydney Underwriting Expo todaySponsorship and Expo conditions • UAC reserves the right to accept or reject any application for
sponsorship at its discretion with the return of any deposit paid.
• All sponsorship/Expo packages include GST.
• Payment terms – 50% deposit required before confirmation of sponsorship. 50% final instalment by 1 February 2018. A tax invoice will be provided.
• If you wish to confirm sponsorship, please submit your application on the form below.
• On receipt of the deposit payment, a confirmation email will be sent highlighting further information about benefits, due dates, etc.
• All exhibitors will receive an Expo Kit which details exhibition information, specifications and delivery details later.

• Sponsorship packages, which are limited in number, will be allocated to organisations that apply earliest.
• Allocation of sponsorship packages and tables, regardless of preferences indicated, and alteration of the floor plan is at the discretion of UAC, whose decision will be final.
Cancellation policy • Once an acceptance form has been received, any cancellation
must be advised in writing to UAC.
• If a cancellation is received up to four months before the event, an administration fee of 25% of the total price is retained.
• If a cancellation is received less than four months prior, no refund is applicable.
Exceptional circumstances • UAC reserves the right to change the venue and duration if
exceptional circumstances demand. If the venue and/or duration change, the agreement to participate will remain in force provided the sponsor/exhibitor is informed at least one month before.
• UAC will use reasonable endeavours to remedy the impact of exceptional circumstances.
Exhibitor display rules• UAC will determine the hours during which the Expo shall be
conducted and hours of access for exhibitors including variations of such times as shall be necessary.
• Expo tables are to be fully manned and operational and removal or change to any booths will not start until after the Expo closes on Friday 9 March 2018 at 2.30pm.
• No advertising material, such as banners, is allowed outside the exhibitor table area.
• Excessive noise that inconveniences other exhibitors or the Expo is not permitted. UAC will judge whether there is any annoyance.
• No obstruction of any form will be allowed in the aisles and walkways.
• While exhibitors are encouraged to pursue novel methods of attracting people to their tables, practices disadvantaging other companies or detracting from the Expo will be discouraged.
• Sponsors and exhibitors acknowledge that UAC will not be responsible for any loss or damage to sponsors’ and exhibitors’ property and that all exhibitor material and equipment is the sole responsibility of the exhibitor.
Liability/insurance• In the event of industrial disruptions or natural disasters, UAC
cannot accept responsibility for any financial or other losses incurred by sponsors, exhibitors and other participants.
• UAC takes no responsibility for injury or damage to people or property occurring during the 2018 UAC Sydney Underwriting Expo. All insurance, including medical cover, or expenses incurred in the event of cancellation of the 2018 UAC Sydney Underwriting Expo is the individual sponsor, exhibitor or other participants’ responsibility.
• Attendees, sponsors and exhibitors are encouraged to choose a travel insurance policy that includes loss of fees/deposits through cancellation of your participation in the 2018 UAC Sydney Underwriting Expo, or through cancellation of the Expo itself, loss of airfares for any reason, medical expenses, loss or damage to personal property, additional expenses and repatriation should travel arrangements have to be altered. UAC will take no responsibility for any participants failing to insure.
• Sponsors and exhibitors are responsible for all personal injury, damage to property or other losses, liabilities or claims arising in connection with their participation at the 2018 UAC Sydney Underwriting Expo. Sponsors and exhibitors will indemnify UAC for any losses, liabilities or claims. Sponsors and exhibitors agree to participate at their own risk and to buy adequate insurance for all such losses, liabilities and claims.
Sponsorship and exhibitor packages • This sponsorship proposal is current as at November 2017.
• Please refer to the sponsorship packages in this proposal for outlined benefits. Any variations to the description of each package must be agreed in writing with UAC. Sponsorship and exhibition entitlements will not start until the acceptance form and deposit are received by UAC.
• Sponsors and exhibitors and their servants, agents, contractors and invitees are to observe the rules, regulations and procedures as prescribed by the Hilton Hotel Sydney.
