INTRODUCING HOUSTONHouston isn’t a college town, it’s a college city. Houston is growing fast because Houstonians are ambitious. They’re used to living on the frontier, as entrepreneurs, researchers, and innovators. It’s an environment that will inspire you as a student, and when you graduate, this city has more opportunities for your career and your life than you’ll find most anywhere.

Your life is one destination after another, each a new beginning. High school leads to college, college leads to degrees, and degrees lead to careers, promotions, and a life powered by ambition.

And when you join the University of Houston, your ambition can take you anywhere.

TIER ONE PUT US ON THE MAP. WHERE YOU GO IS UP TO YOU. Tier One. It means we’ve been nationally recognized for our excellence in groundbreaking research. Less than 2% of universities nationwide are recognized as Tier One research institutions. In other words, a Tier One degree is more valuable.

With UH’s world-renowned faculty leading the way, you can go anywhere. To learn more about our majors and colleges, visit uh.edu/academics/colleges-departments.
