ULTIMATE HUMILITY Humility is not a state of weakness—it is a place of strength. The natural humility of open intelligence is not a matter of inferiority, resignation or submission. We accept ourselves as we are, including all our data. In this way all situations can be utilized to intensify the recognition of open intelligence. Allowing everything to be as it is without needing to compulsively create a reality is what true humility is. We let everything be self-perfected as it fundamentally is and utilize all the means that are available for doing that. When we are humble, we are totally willing to accept help, knowing that without it we cannot progress further. Even though we may imagine that we are special, we’re in fact fundamentally just like everyone else and really quite simple in our essence. A humorous way to describe ourselves would be as simpletons! We are exalted as wisdom beings, but we are exalted in our simple-ness. We do not become exalted by becoming rich, famous, admired or by being better than others. Being totally simple—that’s the way to go. It’s good to be a simpleton, it really is! We just relax, and in being a simpleton we find our true power. Being a simpleton means that we are allowing ourselves to be naked with all of our data. It might be a little scary at first, but by the power of short moments, the data quickly lose their power to scare us. We want that kind of maturity, because it will sustain us for the rest of our lives. It’s only when we allow everything to be as it is that we’re truly able to be free of everything, and then we’re really able to connect intimately with everyone and everything. If we don’t get real with all of our own data exactly as they are, then we won’t be able to understand other people or be connected with them in any real way. To live our lives based on data is humiliation, but to be absolutely real with everything as it is about ourselves is ultimate humility. This really is the ultimate humility. In this ultimate humility we connect ourselves with everything that is.
