The ED1150 Plus has a new contractor-duty diaphragm, which offers improved performance, an industrial-grade eccentric bearing for longer life, and a newly designed motor that allows the unit to handle a wider range of voltage conditions.

Material Handling System Almco Inc. Albert Lea, Minn.

A material handling system that greatly enhances productivity in

round-bowl or tub-type finishing oper- ations is now available from Almco Inc. for use with up to four finishing machines. The Model 142 includes a rotary 4-compartment hopper that drops finishing media into the vibra- tory machine or machines below. An oscillator/screener separates finished parts from the media, which then re- turns by conveyor to the hopper for immediate reuse or storage.

On-Line XRF Analyzer Asoma Instruments Inc. Austin, Texas

Asoma Instruments Inc. announces a new low-cost, single-stream analyzer for the continuous on-line X-ray fluo- rescence (XRF) analysis of flowing liquid streams, slurries, and pumpable solutions. The Asoma Model 500-LLC features a keypad interface and XRF measurement chamber with internal stabilization to reduce the parts cost per unit. A flow cell presents a contin- uously flowing stream to the sample aperture on the fixed-position XRF measuring head. Analysis is performed utilizing a configurable X-ray tube with detector. Options on the Model 500-LLC include a NEMA-4X cabinet to enclose the instrumentation panels, nitrogen or other atmospheric purges, and leak sensors. Analysis of up to six elements at a time is allowed, in ranges from ppm to lOO%, with a typical anal- ysis time of 10 to 100 seconds.

Better Engineering’s Cyclojet III cleans and dries larger parts with blind holes and intricate passage- ways. Parts that can tumble are put in covered baskets. Parts that need to orbit without tumbling are locked into covered racks or a fixture.
