UMTS/HSPA INDOOR PLANNING We had already lots of experience and many GSM Indoor systems in use. We now got all the details about how to redesign these systems to also incorporate 3G/HSPA. We really got all we needed. - Henrik Fredskild, Senior RAN Expert, TDC Denmark.
Course Description As data traffic is growing in UMTS R99/HSPA networks, there is an
increasing demand of continuous cell planning and optimization. In a
mature network, the macro layer usually provides sufficient outdoor
coverage. But in order to be able to support indoor users with data-rates anywhere close to what is promised by operators, it is very important to
plan appropriate indoor The course Advanced UMTS/HSPA Indoor
Planning is developed for UMTS R99/HSPA planners who want to
understand how to plan, dimension, implement and optimize UMTS
R99/HSPA indoor systems.
The trainer has extensive personal experience from optimizing UMTS R99/HSPA macro networks as well as indoor systems.

Target audience The course UMTS/HSPA Indoor Planning is aimed at radio planners and optimizers with the challenge of dimensioning, implementing and
optimizing UMTS R99/HSPA coverage and capacity for indoor
environments.
Pre-requisites This course requires the participants to have good knowledge about
planning GSM and UMTS systems.
Course length 3 days
