2. October 11, 2012 The last time Haley would see her dad for 6 weeks. 3. October 12, 2012 On October 12, 2012 my husband went in for open-heart surgery at 6:45 AM. His heart never came back and he was transported to a Trauma 1 center. He did not come out of surgery until 4 AM the next day and was left open-chest for 2 weeks. 4. October 18, 2012 He had the Total Artificial Heart implanted. His heart had an autopsy done on it and it was discovered he suffered a massive, catastrophic heart attack. He was 31 years old. 5.
