Objectives

− To be a permanent center for study and advice on

issues related to university management and policy

− To promote reflection and debate on the present

and the future of higher education and address new

issues to the higher education agenda

− To act as a forum for debate on higher education

Activities

− Advisory, direction and cooperation on studies proposed by

Spanish or foreign entities, in order to improve specific

aspects of higher education

− Reflection and communication about reality and prospective

of higher education, publication of books, studies and

articles in magazines, convening and organizing seminars,

conferences and workshops, et cetera

− Cooperation and exchange of experiences and knowledge

with other UNESCO Chairs in Higher Education,

universities, research centers and organizations related to

higher education policy

− The design of the accountability report of the Technical

University of Valencia. This must meet the following

conditions:

• To report the activities of the university regarded to the roles assigned by

society, the use of resources allocated and the results obtained in accordance

with the strategic planning,

• To explains clearly each stakeholder the performance of the university on

such actions and results,

• To be useful to identify opportunities for improvement,

• To allow comparison with other universities in differents environments,

• To guarantee its continuity through asumable procedures within the institution
