TraderLynk  Introduction    TraderLynk  is  a  powerful  unified  communications  solution  for  financial  markets  that  will  provide  users  with  a  next  generation  collaboration  experience,  while  offering  substantial  cost  savings  and  infrastructural  benefits  over  legacy  trading  telephony  and  chat  platforms.    In  the  financial  trading  market  today,  direct  communication  with  no  delay  is  essential  for  all  parties,  brokers,  traders,  resellers  and  distributors,  the  business  and  the  customer.  

 Current  solutions  can  be  costly  for  each  endpoint-­‐to-­‐endpoint  connection  and  do  not  allow  moving  between  modalities.  Current  solutions  do  not  fully  use  the  advances  in  IP  technology.  With  the  advances  in  IP  technologies  TraderLynk  has  designed  a  presence-­‐based  Unified  Communication  solution,  which  has  all  the  features  of  today’s  voice  trading  turrets,  with  the  added  ability  to  build  full  fail-­‐over  and  resilience.      TraderLynk  Technology  is  designed  to  allow  direct  communication  from  point  to  point,  from  anywhere  to  anywhere  globally  at  the  push  of  a  button  using  the  latest  innovations  with  WebRTC.    

   

     

Next  generation  collaboration.      TraderLynk  allows  users  to  move  seamlessly  between  chat,  voice,  video,  social  media  and  screen  sharing,  bringing  together  all  the  capabilities  of  a  traditional  trader  voice  turret,  intercom  system  and  instant  messaging  application  in  one  easy  to  use  software  interface.    Seamless  integration  with  enterprise  unified  communications.      TraderLynk  can  be  deployed  either  as  a  standalone  service,  or  integrated  into  unified  communications  platforms  such  as  Microsoft  Lync,  leveraging  existing  infrastructure  and  investment,  and  preserving  corporate  identities  and  permissions.    Powerful  trading  capabilities.      TraderLynk  can  be  further  extended  to  provide  chat-­‐based  trading  and  structured  messaging  services  as  an  alternative  to  Reuters  Dealing  or  Bloomberg  IBD.

TraderLynk  Architecture    The  TraderLynk  architecture  comprises  a  rich  set  of  plugins  that  interface  to  MS  SFB/Lync  infrastructure  components  through  its  UCWA  and  SFB  SDK  to  expose  a  TraderLynk  Web  Client  and  the  TraderLynk  API  Set.  The  ability  to  leverage  the  Microsoft  capabilities  and  combine  these  features  with  its  own  plugins  provides  a  rich  extensible  architecture  that  offers  unique  capabilities.

 Shown  below  is  a  typical  TraderLynk  Server  deployment  for  its  enterprise  solution.    

   

Supported  Modalities  The  long  term  TraderLynk  roadmap  will  include  ‘out  of  the  box’  interoperability  between  TraderLynk  and  SFB/Lync  across  all  modalities.  However,  as  a  result  of  current  gaps  in  the  MS  Lync  /  SFB  UCWA  specification  and  other  limitations  in  the  MS  Lync  /  SFB  infrastructure,  interoperability  around  persistent  chat  rooms,  video  and  screen  share  will  require  TraderLynk  inbuilt  features  or  have  current  capabilities  as  set  out  below.       Current  Capabilities     TraderLynk  inbuilt

• Call  visibility  and  barge  functions  • Intercom  services  • Text,  voice  and  video  blast    • Structured  voice  messaging    • Multimedia  persistent  chat  rooms  

WireLynk  SFB  has  all  the  functionality  and  flexibility  that  traders  need,  wrapped  in  a  secure  and  compliant  environment  where  everything  is  recorded  and  tagged.          

           WireLynk  365    WireLynk  365  (with  Office  365)  is  a  cost  effective  hosted  cloud  service  that  can  be  used  alongside  Microsoft  Office  (SFB  Online).  It  extends  an  in-­‐house  WireLynk  SFB  service  with  a  secure,  reliable  and  fully  managed  Unified  Communications  platform.  Enabling  financial  organisations  to  expand  into  new  trading  counter-­‐parties  securely  across  the  Internet  with  more  features,  and  at  a  lower  cost  of  traditional  Private  Wires.

Conclusion    One  of  the  significant  benefits  of  TraderLynk  is  that  it  helps  customers  to  reduce  costs  and  deliver  a  great  agility  and  economies  of  scale  by  leveraging  its  investment  in  Microsoft  SFB  and  Lync  2013  technologies.      TraderLynk  is  exposing  the  rich  collaboration  capabilities  available  through  physical  trader  voice  dealer  boards  (i.e.  intercom,  line  sharing,  barging  and  conferencing)  through  the  powerful  TraderLynk  Client.  This  enables  opportunities  for  direct  communication  with  customers,  colleagues,  any  one,  any  place  any  time.    TraderLynk  has  been  designed  and  built  to  enhance  the  Unified  Communication  for  the  financial  trading  markets.      Voice  trading  systems  will  resume  to  play  a  vital  role  in  financial  services  however;  TraderLynk  is  the  future  of  the  financial  markets  communication  technology  that  embeds  Unified  Communication,  which  drives  the  business  process.    Firms  are  able  to  create  tailored  collaborative  applications  using  TraderLynk’s  open  development  framework  and  provides  a  service  that  will  grow  and  flex  with  the  business.
