Objective

This course is a continuous education international training program designed to offercomprehensive training in all aspects of endodontics.The continuous education course is organized in collaboration with a localUniversity\Institution that provides local credits (equivalent to ECM in Italy).Fellowship shall define a level of competence that is consistent with an experiencedclinician.The curriculum exposes students to a variety of endodontic techniques and newscientifically-based modalities of treatment.The course is designed to provide an advanced evidence-based core knowledge inmodern Endodontics and to refine practical skills.Students will have access to the latest equipment, including operating microscopes,ultrasonic devices and rotary instruments.The participant will be aptly prepared to appreciate the role of the new technology inendodontics.The teaching faculty is comprised of endodontists with many years of experience aseducators and practitioners.They have lectured nationally and internationally and have published in leading endodontictexts and journals.The international training program is directed by Prof. Stefano Benedicenti and membersof the scientific board are Prof. a.c. Antonio Signore and Prof. Vassilios Kaitsas.Successful completion of the course and final examination shall be recognised by thepresentation of a certificate of attendance: “Fellowship in advanced Endodontics” andshall confer mediated entry to the Master of Science (MSc) degree in Advanced Aestheticand Restorative Dentistry, University of Genoa, Italy.

Prof. Alberico Benedicenti

Professor at Faculty of Medicine- University of Genova (Italy) from 1970.Director of human laser therapy and surgery center of IAHT (International Academy ofHigh Tech).Founding member of IAHT (International Academy of High Tech).MD, Postgraduate in Plastic Surgery and Dentistry.Author and co-author of 8 books on laser dentistry in Italian, English and Spanish, 280publications (57 peer reviewed) in National and International journals.Member or honorary member of 29 scientific societies in the field of laser therapy, surgeryand high-tech.

Prof. Stefano Benedicenti

Professor Benedicenti is Associate Professor in Restorative Dentistry and Endodontics atthe University of Genova (Italy).He is Dean of the laser department center of the University of Genova. Additionally, heis President of the European Master Course in “Laser Dentistry”.He is a Founding member of IAHT (International Academy of High Tech)Professor Benedicenti is an author and co-author of 80 publications in National andInternational journals and three books in the field of laser dentistry.

Dr. Norberto Berna

Graduated with first class honours in Medicine and Surgery at Rome University “LaSapienza” in 1986 where he specialized in Odontostomatology. In 1987 he formed a studygroup dedicated to LASER applications on dental hard and carried out several researcheson histology, microanalysis, scanning electron microscope and micro-radiography onlaser effects. In 2000 Dr. Berna investigated the use of Er,Cr:YSGG on bony tissue.In May 2003, after he had experimented and placed implants on some patients heregistered his method patent, where the use of drill in osteotomy implant is completelyreplaced by laser light. Norberto Berna, MD DDS, maintains a private dental practise inhis dentist’s surgery in Rome using the most advanced and refined technologies. He hasbeen delivering lecturers nationally and internationally for many years promoting andintroducing his laser surgical techniques all over the world.

Dr. Enrico Bernè

Graduated as a medical doctor from the University of Milan, Italy in 1988. In 1990 he wasnominated as a scientific member of “EMLA” (European Medical Laser Association) and “ELA”(European Laser Association). During 1991-2, Dr. Bernè was scientific consultant on “treatmentin congenital vascular malformation for Candela corporation, USA. Following this, he wasappointed to the clinical faculty of laser therapy and laser surgery at the S.PIO – X in Milan,until today, where general surgery activity is prevalent. In 2000 he was a teacher in advancedstudies “use of laser light in cranio-facial disorders”, directed by Prof. A. Benedicenti as wellas teacher at the Agora’ school, under the direction of Prof.A. Massironi. In 2007, Dr. Bernèwas appointed chief of the center for vascular malformations in paediatrics. He has receivedpublications in International journals and has fulfilled theoretical/ practical roles in Internationalworkshops in Europe, Asia, South America and Australia.

Dr. Eugenia Anagnostaki

Dr. Anagnostaki graduated from Hamburg University Dental School in 1997. Since 1999, shehas been in private practice in Rethymno-Crete-Greece.Dr. Anagnostaki is an active Member of the Hellenic Society for Oral Laser ApplicationsHELSOLA (currently vice president) and WCLI, Board Member of Laser Education International(LEI), Visiting lecturer, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, University of Genova, Italy.She has been awarded for the best presentation at the graduation of the 1 year programat the New York University “Advances in Aesthetics and Oral Rehabilitation”. Her main researchtopic is Lasers in aesthetic dentistry. Her Master of Science thesis topic was “In-vivo measurementof the mineralization status of tooth surfaces after different bleaching procedures”. Co-authorin the book Convissar R. Principles and practice of laser dentistry. St. Louis, Mo.: Elsevier; IIEdition 2016. She is a reviewer for the Journal Lasers in Medical Science.

Dr. Massimiliano Barcali

Graduated in Medicine and Surgery at University of Pisa. I was awarded the MD degree with Universityof Turin in 1976 and the DDS degree three years later with the same University.I attended various training courses in USA and Europe especially with Dr. Robert Lee atLoma Linda University and Dr. Eigild Moller at Copenhagen University.I collaborated for 3 years with research center of Wiph Mix corporation in Lousville (Kentucky)I was the co-author of: “The Fixed Prosthesis with Vertical Finishing Line of Closure”, “TheImplant prosthesis”, “Occlusion in Restorative Dentistry”Owner of private practice in the province of Turin.I have held many courses both in Italy and abroad.

Dr. Mark Cronshaw

Dr Mark Cronshaw is an approved trainer for Biolase and has lectured Worldwide on lasersin dentistry. He is a Fellow of the International Academy of Dental Facail Esthetics and aFellow of the World Class Laser Institute.Dr Cronshaw is in private practice in Cowes, Isleof Wight in the South of England.

Dr. Francesco Condomitti

Francesco Condomitti was born in London 20-4-1979.Graduated as dental hygienist in 2003 at Genova’s University.He start to use Laser therapy during his university studies and attendant the departmentof “Laser therapy in the craniofacial district”.After graduation he continues to collaborate with Professor Stefano Benedicenti astutor/teacher at the post graduated courses in dental laser therapy for Dental Hygienistsand Dentists.

Dr. Nicola De Angelis

Dr. De Angelis received his dental degree at Genoa University. He completed the postdoctoralprogram with a Master course in periodontology at Siena University. He is an InternationalMember of the American Academy of Periodontology and a member of the Italian Societyof Periodontology. He is lecturer in Harvard School of Dental Medicine, University ofPennsylvania and Mayo Clinic Rochester MN. Dr. De Angelis has published numerous articleson periodontology and implant surgery. He is Assistant Professor at Genoa University.Dr De Angelis is International Associate Editor of Journal of Periodontal Medicine and ClinicalPractice. Dr. De Angelis maintains a private practice in Acqui Terme- Italy.

Dr. Massimo Frosecchi

1992. Graduate in Dentistry and Dental Prosthesys at University of Florence, Italy.1994 Post graduate course in “Implantology”2000. Dr. Jihad Habli

Dr. Habli has practiced dentistry in his private clinic in Beirut, Lebanon since 1986.He completed the Scientific Baccalaureate from the International College, Beirut, Lebanonin 1979 and graduated in dentistry in 1985, receiving the Bachelor of Dental Surgery fromthe University of Bucharest in Romania.From 2003 he has pursued postgraduate studies within Europe and the USA. His interestsand achievements include endodontics, implantology advanced prosthodontics, oralsurgery and facial aesthetics, utilising prominent centres and authorities to gain accreditation.His recent interest has been the integration of lasers within each of his specialties.Dr. Habli is a member of the Lebanese Dental Association, member of the AmericanAcademy of Aesthetic Medicine, Miami USA. Dr. Rita El Feghali

Dr. Rita El Feghali is a dental surgeon who graduated from the University Saint Joseph inBeirut, Lebanon-year 1993.She obtained her Master of Sciences degree in Laser Dentistry in 2014 from the Universityof Genoa, Italy, where she is currently teaching in the Department of Laser Surgery andLaser Therapy.She has presented many lectures and hands-on clinical courses on the use of laser inDentistry in Italy, Lebanon and other countries.Dr El Feghali is a reviewer in the peer review journal “Lasers in Medical Science”.In her private practice, she works with three laser wavelengths, Diode 980nm, Nd:YAG1064nm and Er:YAG 2940nm.

Dr. Hoda El Hallal Rezkallah

Dr. Hoda El Hallal graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry in 1993 from Saint JosephUniversity, Beirut-Lebanon; she also got her Diploma in Oral Biology in 2006 from theLebanese University, Beirut-Lebanon.In 2012, she got a Fellowship in Laser dentistry. In 2014 Dr Hoda obtained her Master ofScience degree in Laser Dentistry from the University of Genoa - Italy, where she is currentlya new faculty member at the Department of Surgical Sciences and Integrated Diagnostics.She is a general practitionner in her own clinic since 1995 in Beirut-Lebanon, and workingsince 2012 with two wavelenghts: Diode & Erbium:YAG lasers.National & International speaker about laser application in dentistry, she already lecturedin Lebanon, Italy and Egypt.Dr. El Hallal is a reviewer in the peer review journal “Lasers in Medical Sciences”.

Dr. Giuseppe Iaria

Dr. Iaria qualified in Medicine and Surgery at University of Milan in 1984.Postgraduate dental qualifications (dentist and orthodontist) were obtained at the Universityof Milan in 1987 and 1989. In 2001, the publishing house UTET published "The Lasers inDentistry and Oral Surgery". He is co-author of the Position Statement of the Science andResearch Committee of the Academy of Laser Dentistry "The Use of Laser Energy for thetreatment of Oral/Dental Hard Tissues", Journal of Laser Dentistry, March 2007. In 2011 hereceived the Leon Goldman Award for Clinical Excellence during the 18th ALD AnnualConference. He is a lecturer on lasers in dentistry at the Universities of Genoa, Florence andRome and teacher at the Master Course on Laser in Dentistry of the University of Genoa.Dr. Iaria is President of I.A.H.T.-International Academy of High Tech and President of A.L.D.I.He works and lives in Brescia-Italy.

Prof. Vasilios Kaitsas

D.M.D. at the University of Thessaloniki in 1974, he has achieved his PhD in the same Universityin 1986. In the triennial 1990-93, has been Professor at the University of Sacro Cuore and inthe biennial ’98-01, has been Professor in Endodontics at the University La Sapienza in Rome.He is Active member of Italian Academy of Restorative Dentistry, Italian Society of Endodontics,European Society of Endodontology (ESE), European Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry, ItalianAcademy of Aesthetic Dentistry, Italian Academy of Microscopic Dentistry and actually thepresident, International Academy of Dental Research, Italian Society of Anatomy. He is authorof monographs, two books and more than 80 scientific articles in Dental Anatomy, RestorativeDentistry, Endodontics. Since 2001, he is in charge of teaching Restorative Dentistry at thepost graduate program, run at the University of Genova Medical School. He has a privatepractice in Rome, Italy, mainly oriented in Restorative Dentistry.

Dr. Steven Parker

Studied dentistry at University College Hospital Medical School UK and graduated in 1974.He maintains a Private Practice in Harrogate.He served as President of the Academy of Laser Dentistry in 2005-6. He was awardedMastership of the Academy of Laser Dentistry in 2008.Awards gained with the Academy of Laser Dentistry have been the Leon Goldman awardfor excellence in clinical laser dentistry (1998) and the Distinguished Service Award (2010).In 2009, he was appointed Professor A.C. and co-director of the Master of Science degreeprogramme in laser dentistry at the Università degli Studi of Genoa.Additionally he has received publication of many peer-reviewed papers on the use of lasersin dentistry, including a series “The Use of Lasers in Dentistry” published in the British DentalJournal in 2007.

Dr. Andrea Polesel

Dr. Andrea Polesel graduated in Dentistry, summa cum laude, at the University of Genoa(Italy) in 1995. Active Member of the Italian Society of Endodontics (SIE) since 2001, ActiveMember of the Italian Academy of Restorative Dentistry (AIC) since 2014, Certified Memberof the European Society of Endodontology (ESE), Associate Member of the AmericanAssociation of Endodontists (AAE). Dr. Roger Rebeiz

Graduated from Saint-Joseph University (Lebanon) in 1981. In 1984, he obtained a Certificatein Restorative Dentistry and Endodontics from University of Paris V (France), and in 1987he obtained a Master in Endodontics from University of Paris VI (France).In 1991 he obtained the title of Professor in the Department of Endodontics in Saint-JosephUniversity (Lebanon) and was the Director of the postgraduate program of EndodonticsHe has published many papers in the dental literature and gave courses and workshopsin many countries: Lebanon, France, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, Canada, Malaysia, Erbil,Dubai, Syria, Jordan, Algeria, Tunis, Morocco, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, andArmenia.Currently he is the Director of the “Dental College”, school of dental continuing educationand training in Lebanon, and a private practitioner.

Dr. Ercole Romagnoli

Ercole Romagnoli graduated in Dentistry and Dental Prosthesis at the University of Milan.Laser user since 2001, he achieved a postgraduate certificate in Laser dentistry at theUniversity of Florence in 2002.Certified by ISLD in 2004, he has been professor a.c. at the University of Florence and teacherat the postgraduate courses in Laser dentistry at the Universities of Florence and Siena.He is currently professor a.c. at the University of Genoa and teacher at the Master coursein Laser Dentistry at the same University.He practises in Milan, and is particularly interested in the physical and biological aspectsof Laser tissue interaction.

Dr. Joseph Sabbagh

He graduated from Saint-Joseph university (Beirut) in 1996. In 2004, he obtained his PhDin biomaterials from the catholic university of Louvain (Belgium) and in 2000 he obtaineda Master in operative dentistry (restorative dentistry and endodontics).Currently, he is assistant Professor and director of post-graduate studies in the departmentof conservative and aesthetic dentistry in the Lebanese University, and instructor in theDental College. His private practice is limited to cosmetic dentistry and endodontics inBeirut and Brussels.He is a member of the Academy of Operative Dentistry USA, member of the editorial boardof Reality Endodontics- Journal, USA and Fellow of the International College of Dentists.

Dr. Wayne Selting

Dr. Selting received a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s degree inBiomedical Engineering from Marquette University and a Doctor of Dental Surgery fromCreighton University. He is the former Chief of Biomedical Engineering for the US ArmyInstitute of Dental Research in Washington DC and a former consultant on BiomedicalEngineering to the Army Medical Research and Development Command.In 2011, he was the recipient of the prestigious TH Maiman Award for Excellence in DentalLaser Research. Dr. Selting is associate editor of the Journal of Laser Dentistry and performspeer review of scientific articles for the Journal of the American Dental Association, Lasersin Medical Science and the Journal of Laser Dentistry.Dr. Selting now maintains a laser and cosmetic practice in Colorado and conductsindependent self-funded research on dental lasers.

Dr. Antonio Signore

Antonio Signore earned cum laude his Dr. in Dentistry degree from the University of Rome“Tor Vergata” in 1998. Since then he works at his private practice of Aesthetic and RestorativeDentistry in Rome. Dr. Attilio Venerucci

Attilio Venerucci graduated in Dentistry at the University of Genoa in 1988. Since 1990 hehas been part of the faculty of Endodontics of the University of Genoa, where he is AssistantProfessor at the Master in Laser Dentistry directed by Prof. Benedicenti.He has attended courses in endodontics held by Herbert Schilder, Arnaldo Castellucci, CliffRuddle, the two-year course in periodontology held by Jan Lindhe, Jan Wennstrom andTord Berglundh and the annual course in the prosthesis held by Mauro Fradeani.He is an active member of the Italian Academy of Microscopic Dentistry.Lecturer in courses and congresses, Attilio Venerucci has a clinic in Finale Ligure and worksas a consultant in clinics in Savona, San Remo and Milan.
