ClassificationClassification is the grouping of living things.

By identifying characteristics that living things share, scientists can group similarities, like the way that organisms look, live, eat, move, or grow.

GroupsNonvascular Plants: Nonvascular plants belong to the division Bryophyta, which includes mosses, liverworts, and hornworts. These plants have no vascular tissue, so the plants cannot retain water or deliver it to other parts of the plant body.

Vascular Plants: Vascular plants have a specialized conducting system consisting mostly of phloem (food-conducting tissue) and xylem (water-conducting tissue), collectively called vascular tissue.
