Westmeath Ireland N91 VR60 For the attention of Mr. David Corcoran Dear Sirs Re: Thermal Fluid Heating Equipment In response to your recent discussion with our Mr. Etienne Fourie, we have much pleasure in enclosing our quotation for the supply of either ONE TPC400B or TPC600B Thermal Fluid Heater plus ancillary equipment. It is our understanding that the new heater will be a free-standing system feeding a 300kW distillation column. As requested, we have based the design of flow of 50m3/h at 140oC flow temperature. The design of closed circuits for use with high temperature fluids requires specialised knowledge. Babcock Wanson UK will be pleased to provide any technical design assistance required and in the event of an order being placed for a TPC system, will provide a free checking service for drawings of the installation. TPC is a forced-circulation, fully automatic, oil or gas fired packaged heater, specifically designed for use with heat transfer fluids of either mineral or synthetic origin in the liquid phase. Continuous monitoring of fluid velocity coupled with the careful matching of combustion chamber dimensions and burner performance has resulted in a compact and reliable design. The TPC heater is the result of more than 60 years’ experience in design, manufacture and installation of liquid phase thermal fluid heating systems. Since its inception, the TPC has been under constant improvement, backed by the considerable research and development resources of an international organisation. It should be noted that the capacities and therefore prices of the circulating pumps and expansion tank listed in this tender are provisional, being based on the limited information available at the time of tendering. They are subject to revision on receipt of full and final details of the heat users and system pipe work.

Combined Deaerator/Expansion Vessel (CDX Tank)

ONE – Combined deaerator vessel (CDX Tank) type 500 L, complete with all necessary flanged connections and suitable for a system containing not more than 2,975 litres of thermal fluid (up to 200oC). Tank fitted with a low-level float switch interlocked with the Heater. Please refer to BWUK data sheet 97-3171 for further details.

Catch Tank

ONE – 200 L vertical cylindrical CATCH TANK to intercept the vent line from the above CDX or Expansion tank complete with support legs and drain cock. Please refer to BWUK data sheet 97-3480 for further details.

Pressure Relief Valve

Chimney – Wall Mounted

ONE – 350/250 mm bore stainless steel twin-wall wall-mounted CHIMNEY complete with branch to rear of unit, draught stabiliser, drain plate, weather apron and wall brackets. $Please note we have allowed a typical chimney height of 8 m; the chimney would be supplied in sections 1.2 m long. We note that additional sections may be required to increase the height to suit site conditions and any permitting requirements determined by your local authority.

COMMISSIONING AND DELIVERY

Commissioning

The above price includes for commissioning and the instruction of site personnel in operation and maintenance techniques. This work should take up to 2 days on site, excluding travelling time and any time required to fill the system. It is assumed to be uninterrupted and in normal hours. Should our engineer be delayed through causes beyond our control, we reserve the right to charge for additional hours at the rates shown on the attached sheet.

Commissioning Assumptions

Unless stated otherwise, our quotation is based on work being carried out during normal working hours and that free and unrestricted access to the working area will be made available at all times. The commissioning visit can be undertaken as a continuous operation with all necessary fuel, power, and heat consumption services being available as required. A lockable storage facility for tools and materials will be required and we assume that temporary lighting, first aid and sanitary facilities will be made freely available to our operatives during the course of the contract. No asbestos bearing material or other substance hazardous to health is likely to be encountered by our operatives during the course of the works and if discovered, will be safely removed by the client.

Delivery

Approximately 12-14 working weeks from date of receipt of order and full and final details to allow us to complete manufacture.

Transportation

Delivery to site as a single consignment, but excluding offloading and positioning.

Tender Validity

Unless previously withdrawn, this tender is open for acceptance for 30 days from the date thereof, and is subject to confirmation at the time of acceptance.

Terms of Payment

30% with order. 60% on notification that the equipment is ready for and prior to despatch. 10% one month after second payment due or prior to commissioning, whichever is the sooner.

Documentation

TWO copies of our Operation and Maintenance Manuals in the English Language are included in our proposed scope of supply. These are provided in electronic format on CD-ROM.

Customer Responsibilities

The extent of our supply is strictly limited to the equipment described above. Your attention is drawn to the following specific exclusions. - Offloading and positioning of equipment at site. - Fused mains isolator or any interconnecting wiring or local isolation required on site. - Compressed air for control valves or burner photocell cooling (where required). - Additional ducting to chimney NB we have offered a typical flue arrangement only. - Ladder and access platforms including any temporary access facilities required for

commissioning purposes to access high-level equipment and valves etc. - Fuel supply to the heater including any valves, strainers or fire valves. - Burner controls for 24 hour continuous operation. - Supply of Heat Transfer Fluid - Provision of a Fluid Filling Pump and/or filling the Thermal Fluid system unless specifically

included in the above scope of work. NB: system filling is outside of the scope of commissioning.

- Interconnecting pipe work or system valves. - Insulation (other than heater body) - Insurance Company and/or Independent Inspection Authority tests and expenses. NB

attendance by our commissioning engineer to facilitate these tests, if required, would be chargeable.

- Any modifications to existing plant required for compliance with the MCPD (Medium Combustion Plant Directive).
