Area of Significance: ARCHITECTURE. Description continued: turned-wood balusters; spindlework porch frieze; i n t e r i o r brick chimney offset from center garage; square bay w/ cutaway corners and Eastlake d e t a i l i n g on front-projecting wing; s k i r t roof w/ imbricated shingles at porch; art glass in door l i g h t s and some windows; panelled bargeboard w/ jig-sawn sunburst motif in gable ends; pedimented entry bay to porch; wrought-iron fence. Significance continued; s i g n i f i c a n t s i t e features and early a u x i l i a r y buildings. Milton Parker, o r i g i n a l owner, was a successful businessman, p r o f i t i n g from land holdings in the Brazos River Valley. His daughter lives in the hse.
