PROFESSOR MARIE CONNOLLY

Professor Marie Connolly has an international reputation for her commitment to child and family welfare, evidenced in her practice, academic and policy contributions. Throughout her academic career, she has authored, co-authored or edited sixteen books, and 101 book chapters and articles.

Since 2010, as Chair and Head of Department at the University of Melbourne’s Department of Social Work, she has enabled online and narrative therapy coursework initiatives, supported research higher degree students, facilitated the advancement of Indigenous scholarships, and generously nurtured the careers of many colleagues. Her legacy is one of outstanding leadership in the social work profession.
