Practice Makes Perfect•By completing the UNC-HC college application project, you gain the much needed practice to make your college applications perfect, memorable, and hopefully a shoe-in for next year’s freshmen class!
Are You Applying Early?
•Early Decision: Applications are generally due in November, and students hear before Christmas. They agree to be attend if accepted.•Early Decision 2: A few schools allow students to submit applications at the regular admission deadline and then hear about six weeks later. Students are required to attend if accepted.•Early Action: Students apply by mid-November and hear before Christmas. There’s no requirement to attend, and students can continue applying to other schools.
Are You Applying Regularly?
•Regular Decision: Students apply in the fall of their senior year, usually with a December or January deadline. Decisions are released by mid-April, and students generally have until May 1 to decide.
•Rolling Decision: Students hear approximately six to eight weeks after they apply but don’t have to reply until May. It’s a variation of first come, first served; students who apply early in the cycle have an edge.
PurposeThe purpose of the University of North Carolina – Harnett Central project is to prepare you for the college admissions process and give you an advantage over other applicants.
