POORNIMA PAATHSHALA

Student Council of Poornima University is running "Poornima Paathshala" in Poornima University campus. The Paathshala is contributing in the noble cause of transforming the lives of underprivileged children & people residing in near by villages and slum areas of Jaipur.

GLIMPSE OF ACTIVITIES

“Teaching someone is not about imparting formal education, nor is it about

helping someone prepare for exams.

It is all about planting a dream and see the colors blossom.”

Poornima Paathshala is the social welfare community of Poornima Foundation. It aspires to contribute

into breaking the cycle of poverty by providing quality education to underprivileged children. In its

endeavour, PU Paathshala is educating more than 100 children and tries to involve more and more

children to uproot the evils of illiteracy from the society by spreading the light of education in every

corner of the society.

Vision :

• To establish an educated society by providing quality education to the young ones regardless of

their social and economic status.

• To ensure overall development of the child to make him self-reliant and a responsible member of the

society.

• To bring the light of knowledge and passion in their darkness of poverty and burden.

Mission:

• To earn the trust of the families and children and be fully committed to being accountable to all

expectations.

• To maintain high levels of zeal and enthusiasm in the pursuit of fulfilling our vision.

• To get in touch with as many underprivileged kids and families as possible to grow ahead in life by

giving them applicable education,

Planning:

• To conduct enchanting events to attract the kids and more volunteers.

• To fulfil the basic needs and necessities of a human being for his healthcare and sustainable

development.

• To get the best support of Poornima University and link with them to grow in the best possible way.

Execution-

• Regular visits to the villages to convince the parents and acknowledging them the importance of

education.

• Children of PU Paathshala were provided with necessary stationaries to study, different events had

also been organized to teach them basic moral values and ethics.

Poornima University celebrated the program Samagam 2017 on the eve of Children’s Day, 14th

Nov,2017 with more than 150 students from nearby areas of Ramchandrapura. The program comprised

of many cultural and extra curricular activities by students and volunteers of Poornima Paathshala. The

drawing competition was also carried out in collaboration with AIESEC. The program included the prize

distribution of the dance competition followed by the special performance by the sanskar schhol.

The program ended with the distribution of many types of gifts and prizes to the students followed by

the evening refreshment. Mr. Rahul Singhi, Director, PF, Dr. Manoj Gupta, Pro- President were present in

the function.

Major Events conducted at PU- Paathshala

SAMAGAM was an event organize by the members of Poornima Pathshala on the occasion of children's

day celebration ,14 november 2016.It was a full day celebration include many events and programs.

The day start with the arrival of children from Poornima Pathshala and different NGO'S. After the

breakfast the students were assemble in the centre dome where a drawing competition was organise

for the kids. After that all the students are subdivide in three parts. One part move to seminar hall for

the video presentation related to create awareness about good touch and bad touch .Second part shift

to game Zone where different type of indoor and outdoor games arrangement were done to entertain

children. Last part to the medical check-up and after that all the part shuffle one after another.

Lunch was also there for children. After lunch culture function include dance, singing, drama

was there .At the last gift were distributed to every child and at last group photograph.

The main aim of the event is to spread happiness among the children on the very special day.

Poornima University celebrated the program Samagam 2018 on the eve of Children’s Day, 14th

Poornima Paathshala just like always emerges out to do something alluring and fun loving for the kids.

On this beauteous eve of Children's day, a small celebration was organised this year. It was started by

few games in the ground like musical chair and followed by drawing competition. There were riddles

and tongue twisters to test their sharp minds. Also, the singing and dancing competitionsto enhance

their confidence. All the winners weregiven the gifts funded by the volunteers and the student council's

members. Even the volunteers gave dance performanceson their childhood songs where the children

cheered and laughed boisterously.The program ended by motivating yet captivating speech of the

founder and co- founder of Poornima Pathshala Mr. Om Prakash and Mr. Ashutosh Thakur respectively.

At last,all the funds from Poornima University were given to the children, which followed by their

refreshment in the hotel's mess. The event was coordinated by the captain and vice captain of

Poornima Paathshala, Mr. Abhimanyu Raj and Ms. Shradha Vyas and was applaued by everyone present

and will always remain etched in the memory of one and all.

activities to enhance overall personality of the students and built a sense of confidence in them

learn the importance of team work and togetherness.

Outdoor Learning @ PU Paathshala

Changes in current societies are affecting childhood experiences. Time for outdoor play is diminishing,

contributing to more sedentary lifestyles, disconnected from the natural world. Recognizing the

importance of outdoor play for young children's healthy growth, PU Paathshala focuses on to transform

educational practices, moving from frequent indoor activities to a regular use of the outdoor

environment.

PU Paathshala keeps on organising integral sessions for the children to augment their general

awareness and inspire them to educate themselves in best possible manner. Many philathropist foreign

delegates feel eleated by making contributions into this noble cause and give their valuable time to the

children.

PU Paathshala organises many extra-curricular activities for the children and appreciate their

participation by awarding their zeal and enthusiasm.

• To provide academic support including creative arts and sports in order to build the skills of

underprivileged children so they can lead better lives.

• To organize learning as well as fun events every month to increase the number of children in the

Paathshala.

• To increase the number of volunteers so that they can join hands in this noble cause.

• To teach children with advanced technology to enhance their skills and the level of education.

• To increase the number of kids and involvement of the villages by regular visits and conducting

awareness sessions.

• To include more faculties to teach the children rather than depending only on AIESEC projects.

• Providing more stationaries by utilising the unused copies and other items by the University

Students every year.

• To increase the involvement of the children in the sportsto take care of their health and

improving their capabilities.

• To create awareness over serious topics like ‘swachh bharat’, ‘pollution’, ‘poverty’, with the help

of children and our volunteers to show the society that little children are taking integral

initiatives to make this word a better place.

• To have a cultural head or trainer to teach the kids all activities like dancing, singing, drama etc.

to develop their skills.

• There should be only 2 heads in Poornima Paathshasla to handle all the volunteers, family

members of the children, and activities every year and the heads shouldn’t change.

BLOOD DONATION CAMP 2017

thThe blood donation camp was organized on 4 March, 2017 at the old canteen room. The Poornimites

were very enthusiastic and participated in the event actively and helped the organization to make the

camp successful.

Blood donation camp was organized in association with rotary club (mid town) & Jain Social Group (mid

town)

1. SMS Blood Bank - 116 Units 2. SDMH Blood Bank - 159 Units TOTAL = 275 Units


The blood donation camp was organized on March 16, 2018 at the old canteen room. The Poornimites

were very enthusiastic and participated in the event actively and helped the organization to make the

camp successful.
