Students a re ass igned to p ick a brand that is dead, dy ing
or defunt. For th is pro ject, I chose SA AB, a brand that
of f ic ia l l y went under the end of 2011. Other than rebrand-
ing, s tudents a re g iven the cha l lenge of push ing the brand
beyond any th ing imag ineab le, as long as i t f i ts the t rue
sp i r i t of the brand.

The new face of SA AB incorporates not on ly a new ident i t y
but a lso a se r ies of brand ex tens ions that pushes the brand
beyond any th ing i t ’s seen before. To create an exper ience
for loya l SA AB customers, both o ld and new, that upho lds
the t rue sp i r i t of the brand. The new face of SA AB seeks
to insp i re i ts customers to go fa r ther, beyond any phy ica l
l im i tat ions. The quest ion is no longer, where can I go but
how fa r can I go?

The overa l l concept of th is pro ject revo lves a round the
evo lu t ion of the Amer ican Dream —what i t s tood for in the
50’s and what i t s tands fo r now. By u t i l i z ing the loud co lors

not on ly br ight co lors but a lso la rge t ype. One of the ma jor
aspects h igh l ighted in th is book is the connect ion between
the ‘Amer ican Dream’ and pop cu l tu re. From The Adven-

popu la r in the pub l ic eye shaped the dream that Amer icans
